The oldest known person in the line is Johann Heinrich Moethe b 1750 d 1795. His wife, Anna Katherine Beckmann remarried after his death Johann Heinrich Baumer and the children were then called by the name Baumer.

I’ve found the Moethe names in several of the churches dating back to 1664, However I can’t connect Johann Heinrich Moethe to his parents. Using godparent names in the records I can only infer a possible brother or cousin. It seems the families moved among the churches… Sankt Lambertus and Sankt Pantaleon, and then later the Uberwasserkirche. What other sources could be used to determine the relationships in this family?

Johann Heinrich Moethe’s son was named Johann Hermann Moethe pennant Baumer and he fought for Napoleon and then for the Prussian army. What sources are there for soldiers?

She was the daughter of Berta or Bertha Blank Kramer and Albert Kramer. I believe those are the names of her parents. She lived in the area from about 1916 through the 1960s.

My grandfather, William Frank Kramer was Albert's brother and Bertha Blank Kramer was my grandmother's sister (brothers married sisters).

Elsa would often write my mother, Elfrieda Martha Kramer Lobbia during the 1950s.and 1960s I have searched German records through FamilySearch.org and other sites, but have not been able to find out if she still lives, who she married and if she had children.

This is the only information that I have. If you could help me in any way, I would be most appreciative.

The results are available at www.archion.de. There is an explanation in english how it Workstation. Click on Landeskirche Westfalen, then Kirchenkreis Herford and Spenge parish. I found missed people back to 1700 myself. If you Like, I can have a look who Grosse Benne's lord of the manor was and have a look at Münster State archiv if there are any records back to the 1600s.
