-Other aliases for him were "Leather Apron", which he was believed to have worn during the murders and "The Whitechapel Murderer". Whitechapel was a part of London commonly known for prostitution and criminality, but there were eleven murders of prostitutes in 1888 which stood out for their cruelty. There were many movies that covered the murders or used the character, for example various adaptations of "Sherlock Holmes" the movies "Murder by Decree" or "Fate/Grand Order".
-There are also tons of conspiracy theories surrounding Jack the Ripper, many of which can be described as completely ridiculous or disregarding the known facts. These conspiracy theories have caused various myths to spread which turned Jack the Ripper into a symbol of cruelty and mystery.
