I really like the song because it’s empowering and lively. When you listen to the song we can notice how Kesha talks about being an independent woman with some of the lyrics being ““I buy my own things, I pay my own bills. [..] I don't need a man to be holding me too tight.” She also said she just really love being a woman and wanted an anthem for anyone else who wants to yell about being self-sufficient and strong. Kesha mentioned the song grew out of former President Trump’s controversial p*ssy grabbing comment.

I was 06 years old at the time and they're singing about the cruelty of the society, people being killed, the children getting hurt, terrorism... And they're asking to God where the world was going and when will it end and when the love gonna show up and "win". I said at the begging that I couldn't believe that the song was released in 2003 because it seems that the society in general just got worse, almost 20 years later we're praying and asking for the same thing. This is so sad! One phrase of the song that caught my attention it was "Can you practice what you preachin'?". And, in my opinion, this is so true! Some people forget to apply to the real life what they preach or pray!

A man is calling the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline in the first chorus of the song. He is suicidal and discusses why he wants to kill himself.
In the second chorus a lifeline specialist answers. He is explaining why suicide is not the solution and why the first person should be alive.
In the third chorus the suicidal person finally wants to be alive: "I dont want to die today". The lifeline helped him to understand that people care about him and that he is not alone.
This song is really deep and watching the music video really touched me. 
Everyone should know that they are not alone! People care!

In addition I think it is also about equality, accepting others, no matter where they are from, how they look like or what's their sexual identity: we are all humans, and nobody is worse than anybody just because they have a different field of interest, life or past.
I really like this bc accepting ourselves is in the spotlight of this song. It is like the most important thing to do to be able to live a happy and healthy life (mentally and physically too).

In the first parts of the clip the singer has wings and when falling to Earth she is full of oil, walking through streets covered with fire, where a part of the lyrics of the song says ''Hills burn in California''. I think the message of music is remember that we need to worry about global warming, with our environment and save the animals.
