Holland, Corey, Tony, Colin!
Version 1.0

In this exhibit kids will use science, technology, engineering, and math to create different types of circuits. This will teach them how energy transferred and used to power different devices. By creating circuits they will learn more about technology and its uses. They will use the engineering process to design redesign their circuit. Finally will use math to calculate the resistance in the circuit and find how much energy it contains. Walk into a giant circuit board and flip the switch to your imagination. With giant batteries, resistors, and much more kids will learn how to make a working circuit and apply math, science, and engineering skills.

Nathaniel >:( , Bryan, Matt, Chloe
V 1.0 - The original design of our group takes a simple concept, density, and upscales it to a GIANT size. To do this, we are setting up a glass container, such as a beaker, with base dimension of two meters by two meters by two meters. We would then use a dispenser to dispense water mixed with sugar (makes different densities depending on amount of sugar) according to the persons choice of button. The buttons the people will push are on a panel, color coordinated, and we would like to have them wirelessly open a hatch below a certain tank, releasing the fluid into a tube, which then falls into the container.

Kids have lost sight of the stars, and just see an empty night. What if we gave them interest in stars? Our project would be a dark geodesic dome and a projector showing the stars and constellations. We would have filter showing the affect light pollution has on how we see the stars. It would open kid’s minds about stars, and it would make the kids think more about light pollution and how to fix the problem.

1) Original Idea:

Abstract for our Exhibit Possibility

This exhibit represents the powerful reaction with a variety of chemicals. Chemicals like Hydrogen Peroxide, Potassium Iodide, and yeast can lead to an eruption of foam. Depending on how much Hydrogen Peroxide is used, affects the scaling of foam. For example, 10% Hydrogen Peroxide is a calm flowing stream of foam while 20% Hydrogen Peroxide erupts abruptly at first then calms down soon afterward. This exhibit could be utilized for entertainment and learning purposes. To perform this scientific project, you need to be cautious around each substance. Yet, you can still enjoy the polychromatic eruption of foam.

Christina, Tana, Cesar
The most common characteristic among youngsters is curiosity, and nowadays, cell phones are now known as a household item we can be viewed as having a negative effect on children because every kid wants to use one. So what if these youngsters had a way to use a telephone to talk to their friends or siblings by just using a tin can and string. During this exhibit children would learn not only how the sound travels through air and string but they will also learn if the distance of the string effects the sound and also how the model telephone compares to the modern telephone.

This would teach the kids how chemistry and physics relate to each other, with why they separate being chemistry, and density being physics. It would be very intriguing on how each layer moves and how it can be manipulated. The jar would be in a clear box with a crank that moves the jar. The jar would also not be the size of a regular jar, but it would be the size of a small car that needs two people to move.
