Starr is living a one place where the tile is hard.

Being a Starr is like the rose in the poem, she is living in a fight where the social environment does not help her grow or continue advancing to Starr. Being in two worlds is like fearing two different people living in one body, which makes it difficult for her to know who she is. and going through that makes her not bloom.a demonstration is when Starr is in her neighborhood she is in danger, but she already knows how to behave in that society and when she is at school she has to change everything so as not to seem hostile towards her schoolmates. This suggests that being in two environments, one in which she cannot be herself and in the other, she has to walk carefully and know who she is interacting with, and that is why being has so much trouble getting out of her problems.

While trying to hide who she is at school, she has someone who acquires her and supports her as her boyfriend Chris, who supports her (260) by being aware of how she is, why she is cutting with him and trying to console her as he did when he found out that she knew Khalil and on the other side of her personality is the person from her neighborhood who saw her grow up as her family who does not care that her boyfriend is white thanks to the duality that Starr has much support to overcome her fears and trauma.

This means that she had problems, but it can be overcome since Khalil's death, this can be seen as an improvement of people of color by obtaining elections without having to take an academic exam, since people of color could teach white people that they too can excel.

When a Starr wants to fall into a sea of problems, one can believe that she will not overcome herself, but seeing how there are people apart from her family who support her, one can believe that a rose can grow anywhere with enough Be careful that the ant is not an impediment for a rose to show its beauty.
