What did you learn about the topic that most surprised you?
Stefan- I was surprised that over 100 ships and planes still go missing in the triangle each year. The Bermuda Triangle isn't something that can be easily swept under the rug due to the large amount of disappearances and occurrences. I believe that there is definitely something there but we just don't have the knowledge or technology to explore the matter in full.
Evan- I was surprised to learn that the US Navy doesn't admit to the region's existence, and that the area isn't officially defined in anyway. Also, surprisingly to learn that the idea of the Triangle has only been around since around 1950. I would naturally expected that it was a much older idea.
John- Learned many interesting facts about the Bermuda Triangles history. Some of the myths that I thought were true ended up being false for example the pyramid. The history of the Bermuda Triangle and its location are very interesting. The different perceptions of what people portrayed the Triangle to be are very informative, but sometimes confusing.

Rhys- I have had minimal knowledge of the Bermuda triangle as is. It was never really something that interested me in the first place. But thanks to this assignment I've learned of the legend behind it and a few fun facts about it. So far the most surprising fact to me is that 1000 lives have been lost to the Triangle over the last century.

Provide a real-life example of how this topic is relevant or interesting for you.
Stefan- This topic is interesting to me because it is still unsolved and the phenomenon is still active today. Although I am very skeptical that aliens or portals to other dimensions are responsible for some of the happenings, the increasingly large amount of evidence shows that there is clearly forces at work there that we don't fully understand.
Evan- I find most topics like this interesting because they remain unexplained. You would expect that with all the modern advances in science and technology that have happened since the start of the Bermuda Triangle tales that we would have more answers, but there are still incidents happening there every year.

John- One personal connection I had with this topic was the love of history. In World War 2 the Bermuda Triangle had been a story to a plane crash. Now, this year the Malaysian flight mh370 disappeared right into the Bermuda Triangle. This is veryinteresting because both planes were stated missing, to this day the Malaysia airlines cannot confirm where that plane. That Is a cool connection I thoroughly enjoyed.

Rhys- I have a firm interest in history and in the paranormal/unsolved mysteries. I've had a love for these topics since I was a knee high. Now I wouldn't say I believe its real. But I still find the mystery interesting and hard to ignore.

Which research did you find most interesting? Why?
Stefan- I found the short factual video was most interesting because it covered a wide variety of events and it listed it's sources so I could look them up for myself. I also enjoyed the documentaries, which provided more details about some of the general facts of the short video. Furthermore, I found it interesting that the Bermuda Triangle was considered a pseudoscience, since there is an abundance of evidence that proves its existence.
Evan- I found the coverage on the more recent events with disappearing boats most interesting, as it is the most tangible information. It is alarming to see how many people disappear there each year without explanation. The documentaries with shipwreck footage are fun to watch too, as it isn't something you see very often and interesting.

John- The research I found interesting was the amount
of documentaries about this subject. So many scientists have sacrificed their
careers and lives towards unveiling the mysteries of this location. I did not know this was a popular subject when choosing this project, knowing that people are always trying to learn more about this location and not coming out with great evidence is intriguing.
Rhys- The portion of the research I found the most interesting was the history portion. Stories of the Bermuda triangle have been circulating for lifetimes. Its strange and just highly intriguing just how long this phenomenon has been around. It's only going to become more interesting as we put more effort into unravelling the mystery that is the Bermuda triangle.

What are you most likely to remember from this research?

Stefan- I will most likely remember that number of ships and planes (along with their passengers) that go missing in the triangle is still increasing to this day. I am also surprised that even after decades of research, we are still unsure about what is causing the unusual events in that area. Surely methane bubbles and rogue waves can't be to blame for all of the incidents.

Evan- Most likely I'll remember that these incidents are still occurring, I didn't expect to find that. Unlike many pseudoscience topics, this one is likely the most plausible.

John- I am most likely to remember the location where it is located. I was unaware of the where about of it before doing research. I will remember this for quite awhile, and will look into this topic further.

Rhys- I have a feeling I won't forget the number of lives lost to this place. Like I said earlier its almost unbelievable how many people have died here. I have a hard time wrapping my head around the amount of disappearances linked to the Bermuda Triangle.
