I do prefer print materials when reading books and trying to memorize study materials. I am a multi-tasker and often wonder if I need Aderral to write 10-page literature review essays.

  • Elementary: computers were just starting to be used in classrooms.
  •  Secondary: my teachers had computers, but as students we did not. Homework was mostly done by hand and we still used the library to reference books. We did use the internet to search for information, as well. I remember writing essays by hand in class, then typing the final draft.
  • College: a laptop was required. I took notes on the computer and almost all assignments were submitted online or typed and printed to be handed in. Online web-based applications for discussion and collaboration was used very minimally (ie. blackboard).
