My husband and I are obsessed with the movie 'The Greatest Showman'. When things get hard with building our house and building a life for our family we watch the greatest showman or play the soundtrack while working and it keeps us going. This soundtrack can always keep us motivated, especially the song A Million Dreams as they say "it all sounds crazy" which people have told us with building a house on our own, with only the odd support, while having two kids and working full time, now with school as well. They also say "There's a house we can build, every room is inside is filled" and "runaway to a world we design". Which is perfect lyrics for the situation we are in.

I love Backwoods Barbie, especially the title song, because I really identify with it. I’m a girly girl who loves to dress up, wear makeup, and get my nails done, something I’ve enjoyed since childhood. I used to use the annatto seed for my lipstick and sharpie for nail polish. The song reflects my personality and makes me feel empowered and strong. It’s a true expression of who I am.

I really love this album. The songs are fun, emotional, and easy to sing along with. My favorite song is “Cruel Summer” because it has strong feelings and a great beat. I like how each song tells a story. The music makes me feel happy and sometimes even helps me when I’m sad. Taylor Swift’s voice sounds beautiful in every track. I can listen to this album again and again without getting bored.

I had a hard time choosing an artist because they are all so great, and I enjoy all kinds of music. I especially love lyrics and how a song can tell a story, like in Whiskey Lullaby. Music takes you back in time to special memories and places. A few songs hold a special place in my heart. This one, The World, I dedicated to my beautiful daughter, who truly is amazing in every way and means the world to me. I hope the last one, I'm Gonna Miss Her, brings a smile to your face like it always does for me. Enjoy!

Daydream Believer by The Monkeys! I always loved this song. It’s all about holding onto dreams, even when real life doesn’t always go as planned. I can relate to the mix of daydreaming and dealing with everyday stuff, like waking up early or going through routines. The lyrics remind me not to take life too seriously and to find joy in small things. Even when things aren’t perfect, the song helps me stay positive and hopeful.

It started out as a relationship of convenience, I would listen to Taylor whenever I was with my kids and driving them around. After a while I began to really connect with the lyrics, especially to some of her new stuff. Her music is so relatable and I really feel like there is something for everyone in her collection.

I was fortunate to meet my partner at 20, and while we’re still figuring things out, knowing we’ll face whatever comes together makes all the difference.

Tate McRae's album, So Close To What, is one of my favourite albums of the year. I love her music because it really connects to me, and I mean, have you seen her dance? Kelly Clarkson has written many empowering songs throughout her several albums however, the song "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" is a personal favourite of mine. This song is helpful to anyone going through hardships, or just need motivation to get their schoolwork completed. It reassures one that this moment in their life will only make them stronger. Personally, this song has allowed me to overcome hardships, allowing me to realize those challenges I overcame made me stronger.

I somehow missed this post, but it is too fun not to participate! My playlists are all over the place; however, I do have a song that I can relate to for different aspects of my life. This song makes me feel empowered. It is "Unstoppable" by Sia. When I was in labour with my daughter, my sister sent it to me. Now, when I hear it, I think of the day I got to meet my baby girl, but also connect to it when I think of myself as a mom who is working hard at her full-time job and working hard as a student to provide better for my family. I put going back to school off for years because I didn't think I could manage it, but here I am!
