The web. For now the web is still considered as something new and innovative, because really a few years ago it didn't even exist.
Whenever we need to think of something futuristic, the concept of web totally changes: all of these connexions become normal, we almost see the "internet" as something too usefull to not be always used.
That would be the case in our futurist city too of course. But we kinda went deeper: we wouldn't use the internet, we would be based on it. A more precised idea of what we're thinking would probably be some kind of microchip plugged into everyone. This microchip will be a support to our everyday-life. We could use it as a tool to open doors whitout even moving a finger, as our new smartphone: thanks to very tiny and really well organized neuro-transmissions indeed connectec to internet, we'll be able to talk to every person we know by message or even vocally (potentially thanks to microphone put on our "close-mouth" skin).

Tcotf will be really well known from all round the earth (if we'll still be able to call it "earth" by the time this city will be existing...), the city will be connected to any kind of commercial exchanges, to any kind of polical subject, or even simply to any kind of serveur. "Why exaclty?" is probably what you're thinking about right now, even if anyone will ever be able to be sure of an answer. To this question, we'll say that whenever a new, perfect, and perfeclty adapted to its time city appears, all thoughts and medias will talk to much about it to not make it the most famous city.

If we are considering our city as a swiss-knife, it obviously needs to be connected to every type of transport connections : by this, we mean connected to roads of course, but also seas and the air. Close to the sea, possessing many airport, highways, or even subways... But that is not enough. As futurist as it can be, Tcoft will have an atom-rearrangement teleportation station : ... because it's way too cool to not think about it whenever we are talking about future.

We can also think about roads connected to building, surrounding them in the air, for that trafic problems disappear : more space for more roads for more hapiness!

Finally, Tcoft will principaly focus its research programs on anti-gravitational repulsing system. Looking like the magnet repulsive effect, an object can fly. But what if we organise and arrange an whole city around this point... You guessed it, flying vehicules : moving on magnet-like roads all around Tcoft...

One of the most important things for a city is transports. Transports needs to bo ecological and must be able to host the most person as possible.
while being comfortables for users.

So, for the city of the future, I think we have to mix metro and trams, something who used only electricity.
Something very big to host lot of person but who is very fast.

All the inhabitants must use this metro to stop the use of cars and limit pollution.

The whole city will only be crossed by cycle paths and sidewalks, so the city will be nice for tourists and the inhabitants.

To encourage peaple to be ecological, there will be bike rentals and trotetinys everywhere.

The houses are mainly concentrated in the suburbs, and are high-rise flats, reaching 100 meters is common.
You can park you car in parking lots in the basement, accessible from the outside pr the inside elevator.
Elevators completly replaced staircases, and every flat has one. On the rooftop and the outside, you can found solars panels and windmills, making each building some electricity, reducing the costs.
In the first floor, a little convenience store can always be found, along with a bakery and a barber.
In some areas, underground passages links the blocks of flats.
Each block can houses from 500 to 1000 peoples; depending on the size.
To reach the city, you can use public transports, every suburbs has a few metro stops and roads linking them to the center.

In the appartements themselves, everything is designed to be as effective as possible. Most of the furniture is made from recycled materials, the garbages are directly recycled or are used as an alternative form of energy by burning them. The kitchen is filled with all sorts of cooking robots, and the TV can projects a hologram. The shower doesn't run with water anymore as we need to save it, but with modified air lauchers. Around the rooms, many objects will be connected to the main databse of the flat, like the fridge, the TV or the oven, and the owner can then use his phone or computer to see what's in the fridge, put on and off the tv or bake something, all of this without needed to be present at the time.

You can also find a garden on the rooftop of certains blocks, providing the inhabintants with fresh and biological food. Moreover, all around the building some plants are put, to decorate and help to recycle the air.

In the city of the future, the best sport equipments and falities will be 3 different sporting complexes, one of them will be very big with every equipment that everybody will need in it.

There will be two differents buildingsin it.

One building will have a swimming pool, in the main floor. It will be an olympic swimming pool.
On the second floor there will be a big gym that spreads on all the floor. That will have every equipment that we need.

In the second building there will be some rooms to play ping pong and badminton.

Next to all of that there will be two tennis courts, and three basketball courts. They will be outdoor but there will be a roof that you can put on it if it's raining.

Next to that there will be a soccer fild that can change in a rugby field.

The two other sporting complexes will be smaller. They will each have a swimming pool and another room that can change between a gym room and a ping pong or a badminton room.

Outside there will be a fild were that change between a basketball and tenis court or a soccer fild or a rugby fild.

The City of the future... it's an ambitious projects which includes ecology, architecture, technology, and fuel the imagination.

Today, more than half of the planet's human beings live in cities. So it's a good challenge
What will our city be like?
Hyper-technological or economically decreasing with advertising dominance and gaps in wealth, or a city destroyed by humans? The future will tell.
Let's try to make a city aware of all the positive aspects around us
Art is made to be seen. We will apply this idea, by developing a large sensitivity. For that we will use (to my mind) the four pillars... sense, emotions, intuitions and the intellect
For a sustainable city e must Creating the link between the city and its inhabitants, making it a place of intellectual fulfillment and proximity to nature, is the challenge of a more sensitive city. This totally new urban model will provide tomorrow's city-dwellers with the opportunity to enjoy plenty of goods and services in the right place at the right time, like if you nearly sea you can enjoy aquaculture!
Our city will produce the necessary energy and nutrition for its inhabitants. In place of today's inert constructions, new buildings, combining homes and offices, will become active by delivering more energy than they consume. They will have a good atmosphere for work with many plants, and glasses roof. The buildings will be monuments. The combination of renewable energies (biomass, solar, wind ...) and information technologies are opening up immense possibilities for architectural innovation.

The museums will be in 4D (4 Dimensions)you want to see the Joconde but you do not know where it is located? In the future you will can. In whole city thanks to certain graffiti you can find the way to the biggest modern and ecological museum! It will be imagine with different architects for a better result. In each room there will be a different environment adapting to historical contexts. In the piece of the dinosaurs we will feel the different temperatures (of course to the extent of the bearable for the man). We will be able to touch paintings which will be in relief. Where to go again in a painting? Yes it will be possible! behind each painting will be a door where you will be in the painting!
For go at this museum you will not pay the entrance but you will must to put your waste in a bin. =)
There will also be art, more specifically in public gardens, playgrounds, outdoor shopping centers, amusement parks ... Yes, you will can enjoy a moment of leisure while remembering the tragic battles, the conquest of space through Apollo II and still the seabed of Jules Vernes.
Yes you will can enjoy.The art will be access at everybody!
The architectures of the buildings will be autonomous, constitute solar panel and flaura. The statutes of the city could be moved to their bases. You can walk around and shake hands with Voltaire
Culture is a very broad concept.
It can be considered, in the broadest sense, as everything that can be transmitted, shared and learned. We will choose this form.
In this future city there will also be an amphitheater that will be modifi ed according to the number of people there will be. It will be accessible to all and it will present all forms of shows. From the song where we will feel the vibrations of the vocal cords of the singer. From the dance where we will feel the movements of the dancer's feet.
In all the city outdoor shows will take place. You will can see Free shows! The conferences will be very numerous, it will take place in public places, bistro, square, garden. Certain will discuss temporary exhibitions of new artists. People will develop a mental but also a social culture! There will be no specific language, because everyone will receive a tool to translate, in writing and orally, what everyone is saying. It will be very easy to borrow books from the library. The very bright interior will be wooden with lots of plants
Lifestyles will be many. In one neighborhood there will be (for me is the best of the art and the life monument) a large variety of cultures!

To get around town and move around either you have your feet or your car, or even public transport.
Obviously nowadays.
Throughout thousands of years new ideas came to mind and made new innovations come to life such as eletric engines to petrol powered engines providing a new way to get around. The quicker the better.
From scooter to bicycles to motorbikes to cars, buses or the tramway aboveground and the metro undeground: more people means more traffic and more transport needed, as quick as possible, day like night.
Which means we need roads that could be usable at night, with the proper clearance and space, and maintenance.
To conclude, we need enregy to make anything. In that case, the future may propose original and efficient ideas that could change our way to see things such as streets and roads:
The result was his Glowing Lines project: three light-emitting lines painted along a highway in Oss, southern Netherlands. The 500-metre long lines absorbed light by day and glowed at night for up to eight hours - guiding drivers who may otherwise have relied upon overhead lighting.

"Energy is everywhere," says Roosegaarde. "We just need to know how to harvest it."

Roosegaarde is not alone in his observation. Several projects around the world are now exploring whether roads can play a greater role in the production of energy.

Two big shopping centers in the city, one to the south and the other to the north of the city, with lots of textile and shoe shops, decoration, restaurants ... The shops will all be powered by renewable energy thanks to solar panels (recyclable) located on the roof of the mall. There will be a touch screen with a database of all products sold in the mall and the customer can use it to find the products he wants. By putting a product in the search bar, it will be displayed (if it is sold) as well as the stores where we can find it and its price. Thus the buyer will be able to make his choice through the stores and the proposed prices. Odor diffusers for a more pleasant setting. Assistant robots with badges in case you need information or help you to transport the races. Remote controlled trolleys at your disposal.

No need to wait at the checkout anymore, the store has an automated payment system that is based on weight sensors placed on the shelves and cameras recognize what the customer has selected and award it a QR code. The payment becomes biometric, it is done by fingerprint.

The cosmetics stores are equipped with a skin scanner which then advises you on the products that are suitable for you.

At the top of the mall a garden with bench with a panoramic view of the whole city, with cafés and restaurants.

Daycare for children with outdoor and indoor activities.

Relaxing corner with armchairs in a warm setting that reminds us of the house: where you can lie down, read, work without being disturbed.

Supermarket :

A supermarket close to every neighborhood.

Supermarkets with a vegetable garden in the middle of which people can avail themselves for vegetables and fresh fruit that have grown in front of their eyes.

Stock management :

The article is equipped with a RFID chip (Radio Frequency Identification) in order to geolocate it to the sales area. This technology allows the retailer to benefit, in real time, from a perfect visibility of its products. In-store sales teams can, with this solution, be much more responsive and efficient. The optimization of merchandising and inventory is also facilitated, in store but also in warehouse.

Shelves with a mechanism that allows the product to be placed directly in your remote control cart effortlessly.

Cafés and restaurants are next to the neighborhoods. The fat fast food will be replaced by healthy quick food.

As you must know our planet is slowly dying because of pollution. Our goal is to have a city with only non polluting energies. The 1st alternative is to produce our own electricity thanks to wind turbines. All these turbines will be located in a dedicated area 5km away from the city. These turbines will produce enough electricty to provide electricity to a 5 000 000 inhabitants city. There will also be offshores wind turbines.

Two gymnasiums will be built, and a big sports complex too. Much bigger than the the others.
