The article recommends testing with a suicide risk screening tool and screening for those with suicidal thoughts and plans. An adult should take consideration of the individual's repetitive thought patterns and consider safety planning measures. </div>]]></description>

This being said, finding the perfect fit for an adult who is responsible and willing to work with your child may not be the easiest feat. This brief article suggests a responsive, rather than reactive, caregiver. The caregiver should understand what occurs in the brain, a fight or flight-type process that is caused by dysregulation in the brain. With knowledge on this process in the brain, they can better care for a student in a time of need. </div>]]></description>

Next, the article considers threats during adolescence. Here, they discuss community safety, relationship and sexual safety, bullying, and internet safety. Finally, they consider threats during adulthood. Here, they consider community safety, relationship and sexual safety, and workplace safety. With this breakdown, it makes it an effective source for parents to navigate according to their child's age and needs. This term describes the tendency for an individual to leave the safety of a known environment and caregiver. That might mean leaving the home when no one is looking or running away from school. This is a concern of parents who have children with ASD. The article describes five main reasons for elopement: enjoyment/running/exploring, to escape an anxious situation, attempts to visit a place of enjoyment, pursuing something of interest, and to escape unpleasant sensory stimuli.</div>]]></description>
