Lemmon valley elementary has high parent involvement. Our wins are I would say due to the high number of teachers going out and doing home visits! By doing this we build strong relationships between families and teachers. Parents are more trusting in the teachers and they feel as a team when teaching our students. We also have lots of families coming to the school to volunteer for events!

Working group was able to bring some local decision makers together in March to introduce concept of community schools. - Kelly at UWNNS in Reno.

Increased Americorps Service Members to 22 members and 6 program coordinators serving across 16 CCSD schools in areas of literacy tutoring, chronic absenteeism, and chronic absenteeism. We have not seen these numbers since pre-Covid. We have been able to impact so many more students this year.

Jesse Hall has been committed in providing annual Family Literacy courses for our parents and students for the past decade. These classes provide families with a multitude of literacy based resources from grades K-5.This year we introduced some some new content/concepts to these classes which include music in teaching fluency strategies and utilizing SEL strategies/ conversations through text.

We provide Community Resource after school events in partnership with our Reinvent CCSD schools but are showing low turnout at some of those schools. The goal this year is to possibly move these events into the neighborhood and/or provide access to these resources during school hours, before, and after for more private/personal visits on school sites.
