John testifies. A law gets passed of how everyone born is given the grace of God. Although no one has seen God but Jesus Christ lives through him and makes him known.

Today I have learned you must make him known. The society today does not proclaim God's name in everyday life we only do it on designated days such as Wednesday and Sunday. We should be proclaiming it all day in everything we do and never be afraid of saying something because someone may get offended. We all have different opinions but we should stick with our individual beliefs.

John the Baptist states he is not the Messiah or Prophet. He just wants them to know he is preparing the way of Christ and making his path simple. He wants to let them know he baptizes with water in the name of the Lord because he brings them closer to God.

This could be related today when we are asked if we are Christians or not. The title Christians shouldn't define someone. We should be able to be known as the children of God or the followers of Jesus Christ and we believe all he tells and speaks through the Bible.

John saw Jesus and then began to explain why he said he was "surpassed" and why he "baptized with water to be revealed to Israel". John then begins to give his testimony stating how he saw the light. He sees the figure come down as a dove land on his shoulder and this is when he knew this was Chosen one.

Today, we can apply this to the ways we see people come to "the light" when they are transformed by Christ. Many people speak the words of God and get baptized in water as John started in the beginning. Everything has stayed the same, there are the same ways and even new was to explain to Christ and make him known.

She asked if he had something to draw water with because the well is deep. The well was given to the Samaritan's by Jacob that he drank from as did his sons. Anyone who drinks from the well will be thirsty again, if you receive water from Jesus we will never be thirsty we will just be filled with eternal life.

Good summaries Abby. Jesus was saying that His spiritual food was doing God's will and trying to teach the Disciples to be nourished the same way. We see from the story of the woman that word of mouth is powerful. If more Christians would be passionate about Christ more people would believe. You are right, everything worth having is worth working for. I think Adam and Eve hid from God because they were ashamed of their sin. But we have to realize that there is no hiding from Him. Like with Adam and Even He will ask "Where are you?" That's the questions. Where are we with God? Good illustration from racial segregation. Dr. King's vision of all people united regardless of race or skin color is straight from Scripture. God loves us all the same and we all have a chance if we will trust Christ. Yes it does not really matter who baptizes you, what is important is that we follow Jesus in obedience and be baptized to represent the change that has taken place inside. Yes His path is the right one When we apply the teachings of Scripture to life we find that is always true. Good job Abby

Jesus attended to Jerusalem to a Jewish festival. He saw the fountain in which all the ill laid by waiting to go in. He noticed this man who had been disabled for thirty-eight years. He asked the man if he would like to get well and then man replied with a yes but every time he tried to go in, someone went before. Jesus told the man to pick up his mat and walk, he did so. The day in which this happened was the Sabbath.

Today, the Sabbath is known as the day of rest. Was this the case? We do rest on this day and we also go to church on this day. But, many of us do not rest on this day we work hard and do things that must be done to satisfy we aren't wasting another day God gives us.

Knowing Jesus was working on the Sabbath, the Jewish leaders began to persecute him. Jesus tells him his father is always at work so therefore He is always at work too. The leaders tried even harder to kill Jesus because he was saying God was his father making him equal to God. Jesus told them God sent him and he can only do what his Father does. And, those who do not trust the Son ultimately are not trusting the Father.

A life example can be us children and young adults not trusting or listening to our parents. Our parents tell us or show us what do to in our lives which they ultimately learn from Jesus. Many of us watch our parents and think they don't do anything fun, or we watch them and do the total opposite of what we should be doing.

God loves us very much and we know this, but He also loves himself more. Being God he has the right to do this because if not would he really be God? God has never and will never require us to worship him at a certain place or certain time. We can praise and worship all day everyday as many do and many don't. Many of us are asleep to what we are being taught and what God teaches us. There are such breathtaking moments in scripture when we just don't know how to handle what Jesus is speaking. Jesus paid such a high price of dying on the cross for each and everyone of us to forgive us for all we have done and will do wrong in our lives but everything is fine because God forgives.
