Challenges: working within our new schedule (we're switching to 90 minute classes this year: A/B days for magnet art and ABCD days for comprehensive art classes.

Community exhibits at local library, feeder exhibits at Greenwood.

1. my goal is to get families more involved.

2. my challenges are that there is not much parent involvement, people tend to feel threatened by art.

3.I had a show at the local library that was very successful. Many parents came to see their children's work. Special area night was also a success.

To show students that art is everywhere in what they do and where they are and is not just what they are exposed to in the classroom. Through this I would have them bring in examples from their everyday life outside of school into class so we discuss why they brought in what they did and why.
