The Romans were master builders and they build so much stuff like bridges and big towers. The tenochitlan grew and built a large city. The Aztecs built large cause ways to connect the city to the fresh water springs. Also it was somewhat difficult to harvest the food. Some of the land was not very good for gardening. For the Aztec to harvest crops they needed a certain amount of water supply. So the way they did that they constructed.
