<title>John Lock was the greatest Enlightenment figure. He was born in England in 1632, was a philosopher and physician, and died in 1704. Second, he is most known for his idea of natural rights, life, liberty, and property, which would eventually be added into the U.S. Declaration of Independence. Finally, he is still remembered today for his social contract, which has been used many times over the years. In conclusion, I think Locke was the greatest Enlightenment figure because he believed that the government&#39;s main job is to protect the people.</title>

<title>This paragraph will be about Charles Montesquieu and should be read because he was an important Enlightenment figure. To begin he was born in France in the year 1689, died in 1755, and worked as a philosopher. Next he was most known for his idea ‘Separation of powers’ which is the idea that the government should be split into three equal branches, and was important due to the fact that it is part of the U.S government. Finally, we study him because he also wrote books like ‘ The Spirit of laws’ and is seen today in libraries. In conclusion, I think Charles Montesquieu was very smart because he knew all the power couldn&#39;t be trusted with one ruler. </title>
