         <description><![CDATA[<div><br></div><div>pH significa “potencial Hidrogeniônico“, uma escala logarítmica que mede o grau de acidez, neutralidade ou alcalinidade de uma determinada solução.</div><div><br></div><div>Partindo da definição como, pH é a medida da acidez ou alcalinidade de um líquido, com base na quantidade relativa de íons hidrogênio (H+) que a amostra contém. Quanto maior a concentração de íons H+, mais ácido será a solução e consequentemente, valores menores na escala de pH serão obtidos. Já no caso de soluções com menor concentração de íons H+, valores na escala de pH serão maiores, representando um caráter mais básico (alcalino).</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>A denominação "chuva ácida" foi usada pela 1° vez para descrever a precipitação ácida que ocorreu sobre a cidade de Manchester, no início da Revolução Industrial.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>3 TIPOS:</div><div><br></div><div>1- EM AMBIENTES NÃO POLUÍDOS</div><div><br></div><div>A chuva é naturalmente ácida e não causa problemas</div><div><br></div><div>    CO2 + H2O --&gt; H2CO3 </div><div><br></div><div>CO2 em solução aquosa ou chuva com presença de H2CO3</div><div><br></div><div>2 - EM AMBIENTES COM RELÂMPAGOS OU METRÓPOLES COM VEÍCULOS COM MOTOR À EXPLOSÃO</div><div><br></div><div>Nessas condições, o nitrogênio reage com o oxigênio, formando os óxidos de nitrogênio (NOx), principalmente o NO2:</div><div><br></div><div>    N2 + 2O2 --&gt; 2NO2 </div><div><br></div><div>Esta reação só ocorre com grande quantidade de energia.</div><div><br></div><div>Os óxidos de nitrogênio (NOx) reagem com a água da chuva e dão origem a um tipo de chuva ácida capaz de provocar grande impacto ambiental.</div><div><br></div><div>    2NO2 + H2O --&gt; HNO3 +  HNO2</div><div><br></div><div>3 - EM AMBIENTES POLUÍDOS COM S PRODUZIDO NA QUEIMA DE COMBUSTÍVEIS FÓSSEIS</div><div><br></div><div>Gasolina e óleo diesel com S como impureza.</div><div><br></div><div>S  +  O2 --&gt; SO2 </div><div><br></div><div>SO2 + H2O --&gt; H2SO3</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>SO2 + 1/2O2 --&gt; SO3 </div><div><br></div><div>SO3 + H2O --&gt; H2SO4 </div><div><br></div><div>H2SO3 e   H2SO4 são poluentes</div><div><br></div><div>Essas chuvas podem cair em áreas afastadas dos centros urbanos, que não suportam acidez elevada, provocando sérios problemas ao meio ambiente.</div><div><br></div><div>EFEITOS:</div><div><br></div><div>* Mortandade de peixes (em lagos e rios)</div><div><br></div><div>* Árvores "queimadas" pela ação corrosiva do H2SO4 (florestas)</div><div><br></div><div>* Destruição de monumentos históricos e estruturas metálicas</div><div><br></div><div>         CaCO3 +  H2SO4 --&gt; CaSO4 +  H2CO3 (H2O + CO2) </div><div><br></div><div>* Corroem mármore e gesso.</div>]]></description>
