For example, dragonfly in Malay standard language is pepatung. However, in Perak accent, dragonfly is 'cakcibor'. 

The use of this vocabulary symbolizes my identity born in Perak.

I believe this is because i tend to be more serious in conversations and not use a lot of popculture in my daily converstaions (e.g. quoting tiktok sounds, speaking in a high pitched voice)

Other than that, at my workplace, even if I try hard to speak without accents, sometimes it still come out and my teammates always ask the meaning or how to pronounce it. I think most people at my age use these words a lot. 
I also mix/switch between both malay and english when Im talking. Adding 'eh' , 'lah' pr 'wey' in my sentences are too common that anyone cann notice that.

However, with other people (for example: my workmates), I tend to use much more polite words and formal language so that I don't offend them in any way.  And I also think by using formal language/words can help me to set my boundaries with them as colleagues.
