I like telling a story. Adding music in the background or sound effects, helps the viewers get into the mood. The atmosphere of what I'm telling them. It's fun, it's really great fun. But, just coming up with things on the spot is hard for me. Before I begin recording, I have to write a script, like any filmmaker or writer would do. Some people can just say whatever and it's perfect, so I guess I'm a bit of a writer communicator? I need to plan things out first before I do them. Building an entertaining story for the viewers, is what really drags them in to listen. It was where my Dad came from, so I interviewed him and got information for him there. I had to research the Vietnam war and the Laotian civil war, because that was one of the main reasons why he immigrated to the United States. I analyzed Laos’s economy, because it was another one of the reasons why my dad had to immigrate. I looked up where Laos was placed in the world, it's in Asia, surrounded by China, Burma, Cambodia, Thailand, and Vietnam. It allows people to learn about other’s heritage and culture...that America is just a big diverse society of all that.

I strongly suggested that teachers should be taught how to deal with mental health and just overall mental health in general. I actually really enjoyed the peer editing site we used in class and I think it was an easy concept to use, but I’m get a bit lengthy when proofreading and giving people suggestions on their writing - so, perhaps it was only me that was enjoying the proofreading. I ended up doing that most of the class period instead of working on my own letter. Proofreading and editing is something that I’m incredibly passionate about. I did the editing and the camerwork with some help from my co directors Avalon Phral (who was gone for the first couple days) and Amber Lor (who was mostly busy doing podcast work with her partner, who was missing for a couple days). We were all able to pull through and the video went pretty well.

Going to this convention helped me understand how complicated and long creating an amendment/law is.
