In this lesson plan, students will get into groups and create an Ozobot map. This map will have good and bad choices on it. The goal is to create the map in a way that when the Ozobot moves across it, it will go in the way of the good decisions. 

(1) "Why:" Explain why you will do this assessment/activity (Why are you doing this particular assessment? How will it help students explore and express their identities? How will it benefit them and you?)

The why behind this lesson is helping students understand the consequences of their choices and also incorporating technology. I think this could benefit by helping them to think about the future and how their choices really matter. Hopefully they will remember the lesson for when they need to make choices in the future. 

(2) "What:" Explain what you will do for this assessment and how you will implement it. This is where you'll tell ME (not your students) the logistical details: Will the projects be completed at home (beware of bias) or at school? Will students be working in groups or alone? If in groups, how will those groups be assigned? How much time will be allotted each day or in total to work on this? Etc.

This lesson activity will be completed at school. After talking about choices and consequences, students will pair into groups of 2-3. I will let the students pick their own groups if their behavior is good. Each group will receive all their supplies and get about 25-30 minutes to do this activity. To assess the students understanding of the lesson, I will walk around the room and observe each group to see their understanding.

(3) "How:" Explain how you will review and use the results of this assessment to improve your instruction, the class environment, assignments, etc. How will you use the information students provide? 

After I assess the students I will bring them back together as a class and ask questions to see how much they learned from the lesson. If I feel that they didn't understand all that I wanted them to, I will incorporate some of the lesson and questions into the next class period. I will also think about what I could do next time to explain the subject better. Finally I will let students give me feedback about what they learned and liked most about the lesson. I will incorporate that info into my future lessons.

I believe that students can learn a lot with hands on experience and challenges. An example of a project I could give my students is making their own food trucks at the end of the nutrition section. They would make a menu for their food trucks and put all the nutritional info on it.
