He had to leave when his mom passed, he wouldn't talk to his family, he ran away from his creation, and he still didn't stand up to defend Justine. But in a way, it could further explain Frankenstein’s characterization.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Going back to the monster suffocating William there is a time limit for temporary insanity and I fell he had enough to think about his actions but still went through with it. Suffocating someone is not as fast as a gun shot so there was time for that angry and range to calm down. I think the monster knew what he was doing and I don’t think there is any excuse for his actions because he is not a animal his parts are from a human being maybe even more because of his brain evolving faster that a new born. Therefore I also think we can not compare him to a new born or a child.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>From the quote “the first hapless victims” I believe it reveals that the blame for the killings goes to the monster. I think Ethan’s point about looking at the monster as if he were a developing child is close, but a more justified lens might be to treat him as a serial killer. The monster understands life and death and can comprehend when he is taking a life and the damage it does, but he is still lacking mentally and clearly does not feel remorse for the deaths.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I noticed that there is a strong representation of nature throughout the novel. Earlier in the novel, Shelley used nature (an unstoppable force), to illustrate Victors ambition to create his monster. Later on in the novel, it becomes clear that nature can have a positive and negative affect on Victor. He can feel at peace and content when exposed to the vision of nature, while it can also make him think of his creation and make him feel guilt for it. &nbsp;</div>]]></description>
