1. Knowledge capture strategy outline for each individual

1st individual : highly outgoing, very social, actively involved in training activities

Knowledge capture strategy that fits this individual’s character is learning by observation. From the case description we can assume that this individual is communicative, so communicating solutions to a sample problem or case study can be done easily. This way, employees can observe the expertise shown by this individual.

2nd individual : passive, reluctant to embark upon project, highly organized

The best way to capture knowledge from this individual is through an interview. But the interview must use well-prepared questions since it is explained in the description that they prefer to be given a list of questions that they have to answer before an interview. Possible Q&A sessions can be discussed with the individual.

2. How would your approach differ?

The difference is determined by each person’s character, the first person is highly outgoing, very social and actively involved in a variety of training activities, so by observing him we can easily capture his knowledge because he does a lot of activities. For the second person the suitable approach is by interviewing, because he often lists the question that he will answer before each interview and fairly reluctant to embark upon the project, so we must do an interview to get his knowledge because he rarely does any activities.

This is done by identifying and assessing the scope of the problems and finding the best way to go with, by making use of a decision tree. This helps in predicting outcomes of analysis with accounted probabilities.
