From the case description we can assume that this individual is communicative, so communicating solutions to a sample problem or case study can be done easily. This way, employees can observe the expertise shown by this individual.

2nd individual : passive, reluctant to embark upon project, highly organized
The best way to capture knowledge from this individual is through an interview. But the interview must use well-prepared questions since it is explained in the description that they prefer to be given a list of questions that they have to answer before an interview. Possible Q&A sessions can be discussed with the individual.
