Our math program is also stand alone. This is creating challenges for teachers in terms of time management. There is not much literacy time left for writers' workshop or reading conferences, when everything is planned for. If we are investing in this program, along with things such as Six Plus One and Handwriting, we need to ensure it remains present and isn't bumped when the next good idea comes along.
