         <title>Writing Process Google Slides</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The students in BH5 created a Google Slide Presentation where they walked their audience through the writing process. They started with developing their seed ideas all the way to final publication.  They included pictures and a description on each slide.  They also recorded themselves reading their pieces and included the recordings in their presentations.  I have attached a copy of a student's presentation! Enjoy!! :)</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>At the end of Bend 2, students can choose to use their Bend 1 writing piece or Bend 2 writing piece to publish a newspaper article using a Google Slides template. They include a title, subtitles, bold words, and other text features. I made a class book of all of their newspaper articles and copied one for each student. we spent any writing period reading and chatting about what we learned.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>For our poetry unit, students wrote lots and lots of poems. We bought "bare books", blank hardcover books, and students published their own poetry books. We shared with another class and then sent the books home to parents (it was just in time for the holidays so some kids wrapped the books as gifts). They loved having the hardcover books.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Often when my class has a publishing celebration, I put all of the published pieces on the writer's desk along with a blank page titled, 'Celebrations on [Name}'s Piece'. The class is then given that period to go around the classroom and read each others' pieces. After they read each piece, they have to write a positive comment/celebration on the page. this page is then attached to the writing piece to go in their portfolio. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>After sharing their pieces with their classmates, my students used FlipGrid to make a video in which they shared their pieces with their parents. I emailed the individual videos to the parents. They loved being surprised by their child and hearing excerpts from their pieces. </div>]]></description>
