Original: I wanted to open them up to an experience I never had. That is my goal as a literacy teacher, show a world of writing that was never offered to me. I am the facilitator. That is all. When I step into my classroom, those are the words I have to remember.

Original:My role as a teacher of language arts is to find a way to make learning English fun, enjoyable and a reason for students to come to school. I want to engage the students and cut out the cast disconnect between the teacher/student relationship and the teacher/parent relationship. Students who have parents actively engaged in their school and home life have a higher rate of graduation and success after school then a child who’s family isn’t engaged at home and at school.

My classroom door will always be open and parents will be welcome to stop in or help. Students who have parents actively engaged in their school life have a higher rate of graduation success then a child whose family is not engaged at their child’s school.
