         <description><![CDATA[<div>Idea #1 &nbsp; In Mesopotamia each city had their own god, at the center of the city there was a large temple or ziggurat built to that god.</div><div><br></div><div>Idea #2 &nbsp; The main religion was Zoroastrianism, that religion was based on the teachings of prophet Zoroaster.</div><div><br></div><div>Idea #3&nbsp; Anu was the god of heavens and was also the king of the gods, he was a Sumerian.</div><div><br></div><div>&nbsp;Idea #4&nbsp; Marduk was the primary god of the Babylonians and had Babylon as his main city.</div><div><br></div><div>Idea #5&nbsp; Ashur was the god of war and he was a god of the Assyrians.&nbsp;<br><br>Idea #6&nbsp; Each god got their own Ziggurat to live in.<br><br>Idea #7&nbsp; The temples had 3 rooms, with nice decoration, the god had the room closest to the middle of the building.<br><br>Idea #8 &nbsp; Everyday Priests go to wash the gods statue and clothed and fed it.</div><div><br></div>]]></description>

They were square shaped and either had 2 or 3 levels. The roofs were flat and during the summer, they would sleep on the roofs. There were brutal punishments if these laws were broken.&nbsp;<br><br>3. Then there was an assembly of wise men, elected by the people, who could overrule the king and say, this is not a good law, get rid of it; or the assembly might say we don't want to go to war, so stop it. Each city-state had its own king and its own assembly. Government was quite different, however, in ancient Assyria. <br><br><br></div>]]></description>
