They should be pushing beyond surface-level descriptions of AI tools and thinking critically about the ethical implications of how AI is designed and used. Encourage them to connect their research to real examples — healthcare, education, employment — and to think about who benefits and who is at risk. Their LOI 2 (Change) should be rich with evidence about how AI is actively reshaping daily life and work.
