1. Group needs to memorize central idea and line of inquiries and be able to share in their own words.

2. Too much ChatGPT is being used to gather data than actually doing research and be able to site the resources used.

3. Group is tasked to finalize survey by 5/18 and deploy the survey to parents/teachers/DP students starting 5/19. Will meet with the group on 5/20 to follow up.

1. Group is done with the survey and compiling their results in quantitively and graphically. Good job!

2. Group needed one more interview, so we went to the K-3 campus and had KG1 teacher interviewed and recorded.

3. Group is tasked to review their survey data, compile their interview responses, and right an outline/first draft of their essay.

4. Good productive week for Group 2

• Two students were absent from today’s meeting.

• The group completed an interview with Mr Hamza this week. They will now summarise the information gathered and include it in their essays. They do not want to use direct quotes.

• The student survey has been completed, and the group has started compiling and organising the data collected. The students asked for support with analysing the open-ended responses. Guidance was given to group similar responses together into categories or themes.

• The teacher survey responses were unavailable during today’s meeting, as Abdulaziz (who has the survey) was absent.

• Once all survey and interview data has been collected and organised, the group will begin drafting their essay.

Next Meetings:

• Two short meetings will take place on Wednesday (3rd) and Thursday (4th) after the return from the break.

• A longer meeting will be held on Sunday (7th).

Next Steps

• I have asked all students to print their essay for Sunday. Then I will review and get back to them later in the week.

1. Boards - will be changing some pictures and labels. Ms. Rahma will print photos and the labels in color to bring on Sunday 6/7. Are 7 boards too much?

2. Essays - everyone still working on their essays. Ms. Rahma will review what they have and then share feedback on Sunday 6/7.

3. Act - team practiced the act once. They have to practice the reading of text more as they are just reading it from the paper. I would like them to be more confident and read/deliver with conviction.

4. Survey - results need to be displayed in graphic form. We will make one more board to display.

During today's mentoring session, only Khalid brought a printed copy of his essay for review. The remaining students did not have printed copies available, which limited the feedback that could be provided.

The students were also not prepared to present their presentations. As a result, no presentation feedback could be given during this session.

Next Steps for Wednesday

All students are expected to:

• Bring a printed copy of their essay for detailed feedback and review.

• Present their Exhibition presentation in its current form.

• Bring and explain their 3D model and posters.

• Be prepared to complete a full run-through of their presentation and respond to feedback.

Students should use the time before Wednesday to ensure that their essays, presentations, models, and make sure materials are ready for review.

Final Update

I attempted to meet with my mentoring group twice this week.

On Tuesday, all students in the group were absent, so the meeting could not take place.

On Wednesday, the students chose not to meet with me as they were signing each others' shirts. As a result, no further mentoring, feedback, or presentation practice was completed.

I wish all of the students the very best as they complete and present their PYP Exhibition projects today.
