As of right now, there is no evidence supporting a homicide or suicide, and it does not look like a natural death due to the blood and drugs found at the scene.
  • Anna could have taken too much aspirin for her back pain while also taking insulin, causing her to become hypoglycemic, she threw up on the floor, and passed out, on her way down she hit her head on the table and killed herself.

  • Anna was having fever so she took some aspirin but it interacted with her insulin and caused her to pass out. She fell over and a hit to the head from the cart killed her. The blood is from her head wound, the fingerprint is from Alex when he saw her previous night, and the hair is from Lucy when she came over to Anna’s house when they were still friends.

  • Anna was not bleeding from standing, so her head must have been at the height of 70cm, the table has blood on it and it is 70 cm. She must have hit her head on the table and started bleeding.

Both Anna and Lucy have a pair of the same shoes with a pattern that matches the shoe-print found at the scene. If the size of the print is compared to Lucy’s and Anna’s shoe-print size, it might be able to confirm whose print it was, unless they wear the same size. It is definitely not any of the other suspects because none of them have the shoe with this pattern on the bottom.

This rules out Erica and Anna because both of these samples had no medulla. Alex’s hair had large gaps in the medulla, and Doug’s hair had a very light brown cortex, so both of these suspects are also ruled out. Lucy’s hair sample is the best match for the hair found at the scene.

The unknown drug was not Hydrocodone because no bubbles were released with indicator 1 and 3 while they were released with the unknown substance, and also could not be methamphetamine because no bubbles were released with indicator 1. The only drug that is left is aspirin, which matches up with the observation of the unknown drug. This makes sense because she was having back pain, so it might have been used as a pain reliever, and it could have been used as a blood thinner for he diabetes. The spatter at the crimes scene dropped from 60-70 cm at 90 degrees. This was determined using the best fit line from the hight vs. diameter lab backwards, to find the height based on the diameter of the drop.
