Krypton is classified as a non metal because it is a gas and does not have any of the characteristics of a metal. Krypton is a colorless, odorless, and tasteless gas. We use krypton for multiple things like some types of fluorescent lightbulbs, lasers, and can be sealed in between the glass of windows to trap heat.
