To the incoming cohort of clinical interns, we wish you the best of luck! We truly are rooting for you. Please know that you did not arrive where you are by accident. Remember that you are part of a community of clinicians and mental healthcare professionals that want nothing more but to see you thrive. Lean on one another, share your experiences. And, even when you find yourself deep in self-doubt, caught in a trance of unworthiness, wrestling with imposter syndrome—never hesitate to seek the guidance you deserve. You are the future of this profession, and you have everything that it takes to make a profound impact in the communities you hope to care for!

Something one of my clients taught me they learned in DBT that helped me organize myself and write notes right away: the opposite of emotion is action. As soon as you think of doing it slowly start to action action toward it, roll with the uncomfortability!
