Why Hammurabi's code is important
Hammurabi's Code was an important law code made in Mesopotamia during the reign of the Babylonians. The code was a list of laws written by the king Hammurabi during his reign as king. This code was special because it was the first law code that included laws to deal with everyone in the current society.
Why Hammurabi's code was important in the present day
The 282 laws are one of the earliest and more complete written legal codes from ancient times.     Trade and Commerce. So, to get the items they needed the Mesopotamia's had to trade. In the southern part of Mesopotamia, docks were built along the sides of the rivers so that ships could easily dock and unload their trade goods. The merchants traded food, clothing, jewelry, wine and other goods between the cities.

    • The Ziggurat itself is the base on which the White Temple is set. Its purpose is to get the temple closer to the heavens, and provide access from the ground to it via steps. 
    • The Mesopotamian's believed that these pyramid temples connected heaven and earth.

    The Lyre and Lama Deity. The Lyre is a U-shaped instrument with silk strings. it was popular in Greek classical's. It's purpose was to play a melody. The Lama Deity only had a human head and a bull's body. The purpose for the people was to server and worship the statue.

    Was to honor the gods and goddesses who ruled over different aspects of nature and important life events.
