To Aid farmers and regulate crop production. To decrease surplus which would raise prices and stabilize farming industries. To negotiate restrictions on the production of corn, cotton, dairy products, hogs, rice, tobacco, and wheat, and compensated farmers for the crops and livestock that they did not produce from funds raised by a tax on food processing.

Yes because it provided benefit payments to farmers. No, because droughts affected one of the main goals which was to stabilize commodity prices. Taxed food processors and gave the money directly to farmers as a payment for not growing food which only made this act temporary.

Yes, it was responsible because it established the trend of balancing supply and demand in farming by limiting the production of goods. Farmers paid subsides by federal government.

It revolutionized how farming industry operated in the following decades. Since the law went into effect after the 1933 crops had been sown and animals born, the agency had to order that crops be destroyed and livestock slaughtered in order to meet the 1933 production restrictions. Declared unconsitituional by the supreme court in US vs. butler in 1936
