1) My ranking/classification was "wow you are looking to saving the world aren't you."

2) Meat Consumption:
-Try "Meatless Mondays" in your home
-Cut your serving size of meat in half.

Food Waste:
-Make a grocery list before you go shopping so you're not buying things you won't use.
-Compost or reuse food scraps.

Food Literacy:
-Learn what Food Labels really mean.
-Visit the Real Food Encyclopedia.

Local & Seasonal Sourcing:
-Shop seasonal and local foods in your region.
-Visit the Real Food Encyclopedia.

Worker Welfare:
-Get to know the farm (or farmer's stand) where you buy your food from.
-Look for Fair Trade or Rainforest Alliance labels.

Animal Welfare:
-Look for Animal Welfare Approved labels on products at the shelf.
-Find a local butcher that reliably sources humanely slaughtered meats.

3)
I would be ready to cut my meat consumption in half, something that will help the carbon footprint by reducing land and water usage. I would also be glad to use grocery list when I goo grocery shopping because this is important in decreasing food waste. Another thing I would be ready to participate in is composting food since this will also help with also reducing food waste, therefore bettering our environment.

4)
-The food that has the highest consumption is cereal.

-The foods that have the highest production losses are fruits and vegetables.

-The food that has the highest consumer waste is cereal.

5) Food production/waste can lead to high carbon emissions through main areas such as agriculture, pre-production, post-production, and deforestation.

1. Food apartheid has negative health consequences such as obesity, high blood pressure, and diabetes.
2. 40 million people in food desserts across the country.
3. Systemic and deep routed structural racism due to segregation.
4. 43,000 households in Houston have no car and live more than half a mile away from a supermarket. Improved public transportation could help solve hunger in Houston by creating a more cheap and accessible alternative to receiving quality food for the people living in these communities. 2 other solutions to food justice are increased farmers markets or urban farms and food education for future generations.

1. There isn't enough food for everyone in the world due to food waste as well as the persistence of the wealth gap.
2. Climate affects food choice because of disasters like wildfires, floods, or droughts which can lead to lower crop yields. Religious and cultural reasons are also strong factors that can affect food choices. An example of this is many Orthodox Jews who only eat kosher. Socioeconomic food choices also exist as they have to do with markets and supply, apart from political food choice which is brought upon by the laws that the government imposes.
3.
Maximize yield Increase supply with...
-aquaculture, the farming of fish, hydroponics, when you do not need soil to farm
-GM foods
-Biocontrol
-Agroecology, the green revolution
-MEDCs consumers are wasting food, LEDCs producers are wasting food
-making sure there is enough food for everyone which can be done through the FDA or with the help of the government as they can take control of the companies farming strategies
-some choices include eating less meats, more insects and makin grocery lists (because this could contribute to overall less food waste)

1. Soil is considered a nonrenewable resource since it can take up to 1000 years to be made.
2. Nitrogen is a factor that contribute to the growth of plants. When Nitrogen isn't present then the plants grow to be shorter, less strong, and have a harder time producing food for photosynthesizing.
3. Some ways that we can add nutrients to the soil include, composting, crop rotation, fertilizer, and manure.
