🧩Do a little bit of social engineering. You might pair students who have social cohesion, similar work levels, or similar interests.

🗣Name explicit expectations for what learning partner time should look like, sound like, and feel like.

👯Have students sit by one another in the mini-lesson area, so they can turn & talk.

✅ End most classes with a learning partner or study group check-in. Partners can share the work they completed for the day, clarify outstanding confusions, and make a homework plan so they are ready for learning the next day.

💬 Study partner talk and give class feedback. What are students doing well? What conversation moves are they ready to make next?
