This story also does not have language that is hard to understand as a 7th grader so since it is a modern setting it also has modern language making it easier to understand. I don't know how the story is going to end up but so far so good. The book isn't really that bad. Percy started to getting in to trouble and his grades started dropping. So the Academy decided this was his final year at Yancy Academy. By the end of the year Percy went home to his drunk abusive step-father. His mom worked a lot. She was a kind lady. She never raised her voice at Percy of her husband. She is a really nice lady. I could relate in some ways to Percy Jackson because we are around the same age and we have the same thinking process and in some ways I know how they feel in certain situations. The setting of the Academy and what was going on when Percy Jackson was there helped me understand that Percy is different from most of the kids at the Academy and that he does not really belong at the academy.
