Interview- choose a community to focus on, you could interview community members in different communities who have to deal with this problem through out the world and see how it effects their daily life and what they do to combat the problem

Survey- you could survey communities who have clean water and those that dont and see how they use avaiable resources to deal with it.

Observation- visit a community that currently deals with the problem

I: interviewing local people to identify locations, purposes etc that would fit their needs from different demographic groups, reach out to local development agencies in the area to see how similar things have been achieved,

S: local community who have been identified to find out what their needs are rather than basing steps for action on perceived need, survey other similar communities who have access to potable water to see how they think improvements could be made to inform development plans (WWW / EBI)

O: observe local people to see how they currently obtain and use water, compare with other (similar) communities who have access to potable water.

Media: Research portable water, identify areas, and then create an interactive map showing areas that have limited portable water.

Use social media to raise awareness on these issues, advocate, and share information on water purification techniques and also ways to conserve water.

This can be bilingual.

Students can create brochures since some communities might not have access to social media. Write letters to the government for subsidies on finding sustainable ways to conserve water.

Interview: Interview the local community and gather information on water scarcity and the impact they face. Survey the experts, the community leaders, etc, to gain further insight into the challenges and the steps ahead.

Survey: Survey the water quality. Ask experts to gather information on best practices and find innovative solutions. Look at innovative solutions across the world with similar issues.

Observation: Walk around, field visits to the area. Map the areas affected by water contamination or scarcity and document them.

Observe how the community interacts with these issues.

Find other organizations that have this data and work at the grassroots level. Find patterns in the usage of water. This will help understand the dynamics of the issue and also lead to developing strategies to improve the access the portable water.
