Sometimes, it feels like time is slowly passing by and graduation will never come. If you think about it, freshman year seems like it was just yesterday. When we came to high school, we were only 14 or 15, and knew very little. In our senior year, we have learned a lot from our high school years, and we are continuously forced to grow up more and more. Growing up is not always fun, but the lessons we learn from it make it all worth it. If you could tell your freshman self one thing, what would it be? What would you want to tell your future self, based on how much you have learned so far?

Don't worry about what other people are doing, or what teachers are doing, just focus on yourself. Take deep breaths and follow your heart. Also, I would probably tell them that everything works out in the end. You'll get into the college you want to and you'll do what you want to do. If I could tell my future self one thing I would tell her that you've made it this far.

Whether you are in the back of class, you are at home, or you are just feel like it, lay down on the ground and go to bed. It makes it easier if you carry around a blanket and pillow in your car or locker. That way the comforts of you own bed are never too far away.
P.S. Invest in that old Musically app. You won't regret it.

Dear freshman self, believe in yourself more. Don't worry about what others are doing or fitting in, and just be friends with everybody. Having self confidence makes life so much easier and more rewarding. Just enjoy the present and don't stress about the little things. I would also tell myself to spend more time with my family and enjoy it because leaving them will be harder than you think. Dear future self, I give the same advice to live life to the fullest and take those risks that might be out of your comfort zone because you can do it and deserve every opportunity. Keep people around that truly care about you and have your best interest.

If I could tell my freshman self one thing it would be to find a best friend that will always be there for you. Don't continue to be someone's friend just because you have been friends for a long time. I would say to hold your mom close each day, and tell her you love her, just so she remembers. I also recommend that you build a time machine and go back to 7th grade AND QUIT CALLING YOURSELF LINDA. It is not cute, nor funny. Cut out the jersey accent while we are at it.
To my future self, I tell you to stay calm and keep those who love you close. Be kind to others, but first be kind to yourself.
