I think chapter 3 was named "Seeking Mercy" because during Enrique's eight attempts to enter the US, was about finding someone with sympathy or kindness to help him out by giving him food or clothes or water. In chapter 4, gangsters are referred to as criminals part of violent crimes, and bandits are referred to as robbers or thugs. Yes, I think reading "Enrique's Journey" will give people who support border patrol a different perspective on how immigrants are treated while trying to enter the US, just trying to help out their families.

I think the ending was both disappointing and good at the same time. It was good because Enrique finally made it to the US to see his mother after all the traveling he has been doing, and his sister grew up to have a child of her own. But it was also disappointing because Enrique went through all the trouble to find his mom in the US, just to constantly fight with her and go back to sniffing glue and drinking and not call Maria Isabel to help her out with her new child.

I thought that the ending was kinda sad, because even though he did find his mother, they ended up not liking each other and Enrique's girlfriend had a child and couldn't support it and left the child and went to America, just like Enrique's mother. So then the cycle started over again, and it is basically the beginning of the book again.

I think the ending was, a sad yet interesting ending. The loop idea was pretty sad and pointless. The idea that his mom didn’t like him was also weird but worked in the context of the story. In general I disliked the 180 ending of the story and wanted a different ending.
