First and foremost , I want to create awareness to people realizing that poverty is a serious social problem where one can't afford basic needs of human beings and is linked with negative conditions such as substandard , homelessness , food insecurity, etc. Some believe that it's IMPOSSIBLE to end poverty . Well , it's impossible to end poverty in a minute but we can end poverty with education , it might slow graded but it's effective approach where in 20–30 years in future , there will no uneducated children , kids die because of starvation , an economic growth rate will increasing and all people will have education . Next , I want to help the society to understand about poverty and realized that their responsibility as human beings is to help each others than need a help because if we unite together helping others people , we can decrease absolute poverty and It doesn't matter if you can't donate money , there are still plenty of ways to help them .

My product is a booklet about “ EDUCATION & POVERTY ” that gives concise explanations about education and poverty and how to help poor kids in their education . I'm hoping that people will learn about the issues and draw moral values from my booklet, especially generosity , kindness , empathy to others and responsibility .

I got inspired by my own experience . I'm not living in absolute poverty but relative poverty but still I'm glad that my family is complete. It means we have each other and our bonds are strong . I know that my father is the one who puts all the responsibility of feeding us , paying for electricity and water , giving me money for school and buying me things I wanted when I asked him but I usually ask him for food and snacks . My parents are the GREATEST parents i ever have in my life .So this what drive me to choose this topic because it feel like they're touching something down on my heart

Throughout three weeks of making this project , It's eye opening to know how many people out there who don't have a home , that starve and live in dirty places because of their incapability to afford basic needs like everybody else. I learned many things from these social issues , it taught me that we need to appreciate what we have and be grateful .

1. I want people to understand the meaning of freedom and how important it is. The important knowledge about internal freedom and external freedom. Both of these are important for healthy development.
2. There's A lot more freedom than we commonly think. Political freedom, financial freedom and physical freedom. There are two types of freedom. Internal and external freedom. Both are intimately connected and related to each other. Special attention MUST be paid To internal freedom. I want people to understand what is internal freedom and how important it is. Their self freedom.
3. From what I learned, freedom is an obvious important thing To all people. Its all about your self freedom and your environment. These two things related To each other. For example, if we aren't in control of our thoughts, how can we decide what we learn. And is we don't control what we learn, how can Do we control how we evolve. THE struggle for control of our inner world, is just as important as A struggle of our outer world. I learned about struggles to have freedom and consequences of it.

1. I want to create awareness to people about the dangers of bullying and why this things should not be normalized. For me, bullying is not a trivial matter but it is something that should be taken seriously by not society but also government . Since I already experience bully I know it's not easy because physically and mentally you will feel challenged. So here, as one of the victims of bullying, I really hope all people can open their eyes to see how dangerous bully is and take approaches that can reduce bullying in schools.
2. Bullying is a bad act. There's 4 types of bullying, such as physical bullying, verbal bullying, social bullying and cyber bullying. To stop bullying, victims of bullying must have the courage to speak the truth and the courage to uphold justice for themselves. So here, i just want to tell everyone especially the victims to standing up for yourself and showing the bullies that you will not put up with their abuse.
4. I have learned to be brave and strong. No matter what happen, we must stand up for ourselves. Equip ourselves with knowledge and encourage our circle of friends to be brave too.

My topic is anti-vaccine community that popular this day. Anti-vaccine community are people that believe vaccine is unsafe when In fact, vaccine can increase our immune system. This is because of the misconception that they received without boundaries. This community should stop because they will propagate their misconceptions to other people .They will make people not believe in science, knowledge and obviously this will make more people in the society to continue ignore knowledge about science and technology . People out there should read a lot and do not share fake statements about vaccine that will make it stigma in the society. People should know how vaccines work to prevent us from get affected by any diseases.
3.I have learned how important is to equip ourselves with knowledge from trusted blogs, resources and not just getting information but not knowing the truth about it.

1. I want to create awareness about women's rights because it's important to have gender balance and also to erase gender stereotypes that prevent women from participating fully in the social, professional and public life.
2. The issue regarding women’s rights is not a new one. In the past, there were distinctive differences between men and women, between their roles in society and their models of behavior. However, considerable changes have been found since those times. Today gender roles have been shifted, making strong impact on society. Women in many cultures are now no more satisfied with the role of a homemaker, they prefer to make their own careers and share the same rights with men. This fact means women’s rights are based on freedom that can be viewed as a virtue, but not as a burden. Women continue to fight for their rights. In conclusion, people should know that protecting women's rights makes the world a better place and change goals to make a better society.
3. From this project based learning, I have learned that there are many women around the world who are not treated fairly and suffered. So it's time to rise and spread awareness about this so that women should be able to live without any fear.

FAKRUL RAZI (STOP DISCRIMINATION AND HATE AGAINST LGBT COMMUNITY)

1. I created an anti-discrimination posters campaign to protect LGBT community. Through these posters, I also want to promote and educate people out there about understanding LGBT and what is the discrimination and violence this community is facing. I believe that people out there know humanity means. It’s about humanity and we should prevent any forms of discrimination / hatred towards fellow human being.
2. In (too) many countries, being lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender (LGBT) means living with daily discrimination. This discrimination could be based on your sexual orientation (who you’re attracted to); gender identity (how you define yourself, irrespective of your biological sex), gender expression (how you express your gender through your clothing, hair or make-up), or sex characteristics (for example, your genitals, chromosomes, reproductive organs, or hormone levels.)
3. In all too many cases, LGBT people are harassed in the streets, beaten up and sometimes killed, simply because of who they are, abuses based on sexual orientation and gender identity. Same-sex sexual activity is a crime in 70 countries, and can get you a death sentence in nine countries, including Iran, Saudi Arabia, Sudan and Yemen. And even where these restrictive laws are not actually enforced, their very existence reinforces prejudice against LGBTI people, leaving them feeling like they have no protection against harassment, blackmail and violence.
4. People should learn about understanding LGBT. People out there should be educated about LGBT. We should spread love not hate because some of the LGBT people have been killed, abused, bullied and arrested. It’s not about religion but it’s about humanity, because we know that every single people lived in this world have rights to be free, rights to be love, rights to be free from bullying, discrimination and violence. And also people should know what is sexual orientation means. I believe that we have rights to do what we want and from that some people who are not educated yet will discriminate LGBT community.
5.I have learned about LGBT right, what types of rights, and I have learned about human rights too. Also I learned about LGBT discrimination and violence, and causes discrimination towards LGBT community, ways to prevent discrimination and violence, and why LGBT community have rights just like other human being. It is important to us to know about human rights.

1. I just want to give awareness to people these day mostly on this pandemic period. COVID-19 affected our daily lives and the way we adapt with everything, which can cause low quality of life. Teenager these day also having a hard time to study, and I can see some of them facing anxiety and depression problems. I want everyone to enjoy this life as much as before and I also need everyone to know the importance of having a good quality of life.
2. Quality of Life define as an individual healthy, comfortable and able to participate in or enjoy life events. The measurements of this quality of life is different and very vast according to each person and the way he or she accept the situation. There are three classification of quality of life that is being, belonging and becoming. We can see this issue become serious since the COVID-19 pandemic start, where people staying at home and not be able to go out as usual. According to the case that I've picked, the quality of life of people in the world worsened. As a step to overcome this situation, there are several ways to make people enjoy their life events such as find meaning in your work, make a time leisure and the most important part is to love yourself. People should enjoy, chill, be happy and find more ways to make a great quality in life.
3. I've learned that we should enjoy life and accept things that happened even if it is hard. I also learn how important to have a good quality of life instead of being overthinking about everything, because it's only bring another problems to handle in your head, which can messed up your life.

MS STELLA (MY REFLECTION OF THIS LESSON)

I personally designed this project based on the need of this class. They are at their advanced beginners level working towards intermediate level. Even though they are at a similar level of language proficiency, there is a disparity between their level in the four skills, some of them are good in writing, while others are good in reading comprehension and about two of them are displaying excellent potential in speaking. Initially, I planned to assign a group task, in consideration of their differences in the four skills, in which I hope to pair them accordingly - that they can help to progress together, however I felt that it was not going to work because of their learning styles and preferences. I decided to design this project as an individual learning project. Through this project, students get to explore their topic at their own pace and to complete it according to their own capabilities, resources, time and most importantly, their personal thinking process. I wanted to engage with them personally too, to watch their learning process and to better understand how to help them (individually).

Spending my time consciously on planning lessons, looking for resources, learning different applications just to make things work refreshed my own learning skills. I begin to pay attention to the practicality of any tools / applications before spending more time on it, otherwise I can skip and explore more. In this process, I did a lot of trial and error. In terms of designing rubrics, I learned to personalize my assessment and designed something that my students can achieve. I also plan my lessons in sync with the skills that I want them to learn - specifically addressing the skills (communication skills - giving opinion, explaining their details, analyzing information, promoting critical thinking and scaffolding them to acquire knowledge and skills. Our lesson plans are truly valuable in helping the students. Pay attention to how you plan your lesson. Craft your lesson plan well. The process of writing a lesson plan has become enriching for me. During this project, I designed 4 specific lesson plans to help my students in completing their project, most importantly, the lessons helped them to ‘learn’.

Doing this project activates my ‘resourceful’ mode. I believe that as a teacher, we have to be resourceful. I personally wanted to give my best whenever students or colleagues approached me to ask for something - materials, methods, books, information or anything related with education. However sometimes, the nature of our job takes away this ‘resourceful’ mode. There are times when I get overwhelmed with work, my personal routines and other things, I tend to give non practical ideas, usually generic in nature and I am aware that it is not going to help at all. Doing this project made me stay in the mode of ‘resourceful’, my students would ask me any time about anything, they asked about my ideas, opinion, they also asked for resources, clarification and their range of issues could be from mobile phone application to how to structure their ideas, choosing the best topics and other things. They presented me with various global issues too, which required me to be well equipped with information and doing my research too.

I truly appreciate the students’ process of learning and how their thoughts / opinions grow based on their learning process in completing their projects. This batch of students is highly introvert and quiet in a way that it is a challenge to initiate group conversations but when they are being ‘asked’ with the right questioning techniques, they are able to give deep and thoughtful responses. I draw inspiration from the way they approach the ideas.

This I-PBL is designed to help students to speak better, to be able to engage in conversation. However, taking into account that they are highly introvert personalities, their learning preferences lean more towards journaling/ writing, and questioning techniques are helpful to draw verbal responses. Remember, some students don't respond, not just because they don’t have ideas to talk about, they don’t have confidence, especially using foreign language, but it can also be the way questions are being asked. By doing this project, the PBD is made easier. There is evidence of progress for each student and also authentic evidence for assessment for their performance levels in all skills (writing, reading, listening, speaking). The performance level recorded is a mutual decision from both teacher and the students. Therefore students can see their real progress and are able to work on improving it according to their pace. This is a motivation and also satisfaction of owning their learning process. This I-PBL has been helpful to identify their ongoing PL and of how it can (mutually agreed) on what to work on (point of conversation with the students).

In terms of their performance in writing and use of English, the differences in their marks and the quality of their answers are much better than the previous assessments. As for their speaking and listening, I should have basis of comparison, but I did not carry out oral assessments last year, but I can genuinely say that they improved a lot in the way of giving opinion, explaining ideas and also expanding their points. They are more confident to answer questions / giving opinion.

However, they are still unused to initiate conversation in larger group, there is a need to call out names. It is good that they are now comfortable to speak whenever they are being called and that they will give proper responses. I believe my students have achieved the Performance Level required and successfully achieved the skills. In our discussions, they admitted they have gained confidence and knowledge in going through the process.

I would like to re-emphasized here that I have always stick with the foundation of this design (Individualized Project Based Learning), that my emphasis is on the process of completing and not really on the end product. In their individual learning portfolio, we have archived their writings, date of discussion sessions and also their reading resources. The end product is just a summary of their topics and surely their own materials are their own personal archives, in which again, we mutually agreed that it is their rights to keep it on their own / to share in the future.

In conclusion, I am grateful and humbled by this experience, I learned many new things, new way of thinking, redesign, write and presented my lessons. I am also glad and proud of myself that I managed to be committed in carrying this out.
