Then the disease is usually asymptomatic until it progresses to AIDS. AIDS symptoms include weight loss, fever or night sweats, fatigue, and recurrent infections.

A couple of week into catching the infection a person will get various of symptoms such as feeling of the flu, fever , soreness in the throat and even fatigue. The symptoms are fairly the same but women experience things a little bit different such as :vaginal yeast infections ,other vaginal infections such as bacterial vaginosis; common sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) like gonorrhea, Chlamydia and trichomoniasis; human papillomavirus (HPV) infections that cause genital warts and can lead to cervical cancer; pelvic inflammatory disease (PID),infection of a women's reproductive organs and menstrual cycle changes, such as not having periods. Although its a small differential with women it can still be asymptomatic and progress into something a little be worser which would be called aids. In people with AIDS, these infections are often severe and sometimes fatal because the immune system is so ravaged by HIV that the body cannot fight off the infection.
