Clearly communicating to students what and where they need to be by the ring of the bell to count as "on time." (Ex: in your desk with chromebook out? Standing at your spot for prayer? Having already started the bellwork?) Maybe practicing this a few times to make it muscle memory the first day?

What is the definition of "tardy" in your class? Is tardy "not in the room when the bell rings?" Is tardy "not standing by seat when bell rings"?
