What is the Pet Fun big book? It mentions it a number of times in the main part of the teacher manual for small group 1, but the material pictured in the side margin is the Ox and Dog book.

Small groupings (the same kids are always needing teacher led help and same kids are always independent) How do I support the struggling students who are struggling to even read the story even though we've read it together? Is it more important to fill in the comprehension questions or rereading the story?

When doing pop-out chains students pick our "alakazam" word and I say it however they demonstrate it. This week I said "Yee-haw" "Whoop-whoop" Its been fun to change it up.

Students are engaged and excited about the knowledge portion. They enjoy reading about Grans adventures. They are able to recall the sounds we learn for our individual code chart and it reflects in the reading and writing!

So far not every lesson can be completed in one day. The writing portion takes a lot of time for some students and others finish instantly. The skills lessons are long and students loose interest some days. When the board doesn't work correctly that also effects student engagement.
