         <description><![CDATA[<div>In relation to point 1, I would say that feedback must be positive and constructive that includes advice, praise, and evaluation as well. For example, praise is not praising students' mistakes, though it should be there to encourage them for making improvements as well as increasing their self-esteem. Praise can be used to motivate students within feedback. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Students should know the learning target...</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>It is important that students understand the learning target, however, even when provided, students rarely even read the brief. I have found it challenging that my students behave like school children in that they expect everything to be spoon fed to them. they will email me before reading anything on BREO. Those that do not attend lectures assume they understand the brief yet I find they rarely engage with this and therefore fail to read further than the task itself and miss the learning outcomes. I think in an ideal world this is true, however, in practice, feedback is also an opportunity itself for students to see learning objectives and relate their own work to these under the guidance of the tutor.</div>]]></description>

         <title> Effective feedback ccurs during the learning</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I definitely believe this is the case as after the event students tend to shut down and take the stance that the assignment is over and therefore feedback is void. Before submission, feedback allows them to reflect and develop from the advice which is more valuable than giving a retrospective opinion. I can recall certain feedback post-assignment that if given beforehand could have altered the outcome. Sometimes students lose their way or get the wrong end of the stick as it were and therefore constructive criticism at an early stage is more likely to be engaged with and addressed with a much more satisfying outcome at the end.<br><br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>Most of the feedback that students receive about their classroom work is from other students and most of this is wrong...</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I generally find that students will ask one another regarding issues such as when work is due in and what work is due in, however I do not find they are very forthcoming in sharing ideas or work itself. That being said in my own experience as a learner I have often asked the advice of peers rather than the lecturer, particularly if this is last minute. I may have made a rod for my own back, but I will answer queries by students up to a certain deadline so they do not have the fear that they have left it too late. I think students value feedback from tutors over peers as this 'means something'. In reality, they are more likely to ask for tutor feedback as they seem to see this as being important as we will grade them!</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. The person giving the feedback , if its someone that i trust and has good intention for me to learn thats a big plus<br>2. Do they know thier information or just doing it fill the gaps, otherwise they be wasting thier time<br>3. they have to be interested in my learning process and why i come to that type of answer.&nbsp;<br>4- provide some examples on how I could improve,&nbsp; not just talk but physically show me a few things, that would be good<br>5. listen to what i got to say to the feedback and find out how i feel about it as opposed to just give feedback and not listen back<br>6. positive feedback is important- where have i gone right and not just one or two words<br>7. share thier own experience on how they overcome a situation, shows that they human and we are not alone!</div>]]></description>
