When I was in school my classrooms were colorful and visually engaging. The only technology that really existed at the time were projectors and the tvs with the vcrs lol #feelingold

I was a student in public school 35-40 years ago! LOL My classes were orderly and most of them were boring. One class I remember vividly was my History class junior year. My teacher would put an outline of notes on the projector, turn the light off, and talk for 45 minutes every day. It was THEE BEST after lunch nap that I ever had!

Microfiche was the closes thing we had as a computer when we wanted to do research on for example careers.

The only real technology that I recall from high school was a TI-81 graphic calculator. We didn't have computers in the classrooms then. An overhead projector and maybe a TV on a cart with a VHS player was rolled in sometimes to watch movies. Very little educational technology at all. I still use TI graphic calculators now in my classes today.

Honestly, none. What we had was good. Being that I teach now I see the positive of having technology resdily available for students. However, I also see how much of a distraction it is. I think the access should be limited.

I am actually glad that we didn't have too much technology when I was in school. I think that it would be a HUGE distraction for me. I definitely wouldn't be as good of a notetaker as I am now, or have the study, writing, reading and research strategies and skills that I have now either. I might have liked Blooket or Kahoot games, but I get overstimulated easily, so it may have been just too much.
