         <description><![CDATA[<div>Why is there no district communication regarding WAVE 1 Tier 2 Implementation?<br><br><br>Answer from Maria Waters/ES Principal:<br> There is no communication going out from the district because these students should already be invited to small groups. If students are not being invited to small groups, then a LC will need to be aware of the invite. Send a list to your lead if you have students that are not invited to small groups but showing as needing to be. </div>]]></description>

Students added to the WAVE 1 list should be struggling students in Reading AND Math.  If your lead agrees/approves the add, she will send me the list and I will add to the T2 Tracker for you this week. Or do we continue PMing everyone we think shows a need?<br><br>Answer from Wendy James:<br>If a student is not on this list, they are not in WAVE 1.  We do have a WAVE 2 coming after WAVE 1.  If you feel a student is struggling and needs interventions, intervene.  Talk to your lead about the student during your DDI meetings.  Leads will get with me regarding student data.  Thank you for asking your question.  :)</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>If we are not creating additional small groups, do we just complete the wave 1 packet with all of the kids in that small group--even though not all of them are in wave 1?<br><br>Answer from Holly Witcher: <br>In my humble opinion, you can add any other students to these groups! We just have to make sure that the ones on the list ARE using these programs. So if you already have a small group for math set up that they’re going to, and there are 4 other students in that class that are not on the list, you can do Wowzers for all of them.          <description><![CDATA[<div>If a student is showing deficient in only one subject.  Should that student continue PM in that subject or should we only PM students who are deficient in both subjects? <br><br>Answer from Wendy James:<br>If a student is not on the WAVE 1 list, you do not have to progress monitor the student at this time for RTI.  He/she may show up on the WAVE 2 list.  At that point, you would intervene and progress monitor.  If you have struggling students NOT on the WAVE 1 list, but are still struggling, get with your lead on how to best support that student outside of RTI.  Thank you for asking such a good question.  :)</div>]]></description>

         <title>Assigning Paths in Wowzer</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Lets say I assign a group Path 3-5. When they finish that path will they keep going, to the next path or do I need to assign a new path?<br><br>Answer from Courtney Hale:<br>For RTI small groups – we will ONLY be assigning one path/section at a time. So when the small group finishes the assigned curriculum (lets say 5-4 division) they will be stopped and cannot progress until additional curriculum is assigned.  Thank you for probing and clarifying.  :)<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>If a student attends 1 of 2 sessions/ week, do we mark the whole week as not attended? If they attend only the day they take the quiz in A-Z, do they get marked as attended?  Or is it an all or nothing?<br>Thanks!<br>Caity <br><br>Answer from Wendy James:<br>Great question, Caity.  If the student completes the progress monitoring, I would input the score.  If they do not complete the PM, I would notate absent.  IF it becomes a HABIT to only attend one session, reach out to me and we will address it as a one-off situation. :)<br><br></div>]]></description>
