This will result in Angela fostering a false personality in order to please 'people' specifically her mother. It can be interpreted that this series of undermining events can cause Angela severe unhealed trauma and identity crisis.

Sam Westing has been noted to be always ahead of the others, during the reading of the will Grace interrupts the reading and in the will Westing writes for her to sit down.

Westing was also said to be good at Chess, a game described by the book to need the players to always think two steps (moves) ahead. During the story, Sam Westing is portrayed as someone that is always ahead of the rest.

Coping Mechanism

At no point in the story was it clear that he had any special coping mechanism, his death was due to him returning to his manor and later murdered by an enemy of possibly Westing Paper Products.

Dialogue

During most of the story, Westing has communicated with the heirs indirectly or directly using the Will, and some notes left behind. It is clear that Westing wanted the heirs to play a game for the money rather than to pick who to give it to, he was thinking ahead and allegedly he already knew who was going to win.

Interaction

Sam Westing has only interacted the character with his written words, as he is allegedly deceased. His interactions are mostly brief as he only instructs certain heirs to sit down or do certain actions.

Appearance

Mr. Westing's appearance isn't described clearly in the text so we are left to assume his appearance. My guess, he is likes to wear a buttoned white shirt paired with black office pants. (don't question me I needed some filler text)

Vocal Habits  

He does not seem to have much habits related to how he speaks, however he does have a way he writes the will. Anything unrelated to the will but is written within that document he will add a ( and a closing ) and the will is also in italic.

Hobby/Likes

No listed hobbies or anything he likes, however he does show a great amount of affection and care towards his company Westing Paper Products. There is also an instruction in the will to invest in Westing Paper Products to boost the stocks of the company after his death.

Goals

His goals can be assumed to be related to boosting the revenue and success of Westing Paper Products which will be abbreviated as WPP.

Inner World

Sam hasn't had his thoughts or feelings documented before his alleged death. So there is no information on this and you can only speculate.

In the reading of the will, Sydelle is the only one with the foresight to take notes of the will. It also benefits her that she writes in Polish, her native language, a language no one else in the Westing house knows, giving her an edge in the cut-throat competition between the potential heirs.

It is also in the will reading that Sydelle attempts to gain attention in the group by wearing and using odd things, such as flimsy hand-painted crutches, even though she is a perfectly healthy woman with literally no use for such things

In the end, Sydelle does gain attention, with the help of her notes of the will (in Polish). As the will also served as the rules of the game, not to mention that there were multiple hidden clues sprinkled through the will. As such, Sydelle gained a considerable status in the group of the 16 heirs.

Turtle loves her braids, even to the point where she would inflict physical pain to anyone who dares touch it. Which would imply that she might have gotten bullied (at school perhaps) for having braids, or people just liked touching them. Eitherway she started kicking anyone in the shins who touched her braids.

She (for her age, I think 10 or 14) is very intelligent as she is and her partner are able to use the stock market to gather the clues needed to win the game. Turtle learnt a few life lessons while working with her assigned partner, Flora Baumbach. Turtle in her family is a nobody but she was given the chance to participate and no longer be lonely.

Turtle shows off her creativity by playing the game and applying her brains to figure out hints across the chapters. She creates creative methods, for instance, to learn more about the other heirs and any possible ties to Sam Westing...............

Turtle's appearance depicted in the movie is different that what I imagined. In the movie she does not feature a braid. The movie is more of a remaster than a recreating of the book. Also pretty sure Turtle does not kick shins in the movie (too violent for kids). An example is from chapter 14

"She was sitting on a low stool in the brightly lit kitchen, surrounded by scraps of paper covered with figures and calculations. Angela stood by the stove, watching her sister with admiration. 'You're amazing, Turtle,' she said. 'How did you figure all this out?' Turtle grinned. 'Elementary, my dear Watson.'"

Barney is a very capable salesman, as he has the mindset of being laser-focused on only selling. He is cold and unkind, and not willing to throw out blatant lies, just to get a higher chance of a successful sale.

Judge Ford’s personality traits: She is often defensive, detached and purposely suspicious of those around her.

Judge Ford’s backstory: Ford’s mother was once a servant in the westing’s house, and her father was the gardener. Ford grew up in the westing’s house and Sam often challenged her to play chess. Sam also financed Ford’s private school education.

Judge Ford’s dialogue: Judge Ford mostly observes as she is an attentive person, so she does not communicate much with many people.

Judge Ford’s interactions: She interacts with many people, especially Turtle Wexler. They became close and they worked together to solve the westing game.

Judge Ford’s appearance: She is a tall, black woman.

Judge Ford’s likes and dislikes: She likes fairness and dislikes dishonesty.

Judge Ford’s inner world: Judge Ford does not really express her thoughts often since she observes her surroundings most of the time. She is a very perceptive woman.

Sam Westings’ mannerism:

Sam Westing's mannerisms are marked by secrecy and a love for puzzles. Despite being deceased, his presence is felt through the mysterious game he plotted. He cleverly creates challenges for the heirs, revealing a playful side to his character.

Sam Westing’s personality traits:

Sam Westing was always steps ahead of others. He is very strategic and has a sharp intellect. Chess is a game that requires forward thinking and planning, much like the actual game Sam Westing plotted. In order to play chess successfully, one has to always be one step ahead of one's opponent.

Sam Westing’s backstory:

Sam Westing is introduced as a wealthy, mysterious figure who apparently dies, leaving behind a puzzle-filled will for his heirs. As the heirs were solving the puzzle, they came across the backstory of Sam Westing including the tragic loss of his daughter Violet, and his terminal illness and his successful business ventures.
