Melbourne is a hotspot for tourists and overseas students. The reason we chose this topic is because we want to tell the new student to prepare themselves for what they are going to face in the new culture. The purpose is to initially adapt to unfamiliar aspects of culture in Melbourne, which is a multicultural city, especially such things as the education system, food, transportation, people, language and communication. Based on our research, we hope to show that culture shock helps us be aware and be prepared to experience a different culture from our home country.

The pie chart shows us the most popular aspects in Australia for students at Swinburne. Looking at the chart, we can that just under 40% of the students chose food; because the food in Australia is very diverse. In addition, the number of people choosing festivals and the weather was equal to 22%. A few of the students chose traditional clothes from some countries, such as the Australian Dirndl, which is a favourite of women. Moreover, some students chose 8% like culture in Australia is a different opinion. As such, we can see that the culture is diverse in Australia and everyone enjoys it.

One reason international students choose to study abroad is that they want to learn about another culture and have new experiences. However, as well as that positive experience, there is the possibility of culture shock. According to Pyvis and Chapman (2005), any new situation, job, a partnership, or perspective leading to a role change and a new identity is thought to be facing culture shock. In a more general way, culture shock applies to any situation in which a students must adjust to a foreign environment in that previous experience is no longer useful. The experience of culture shock offered by overseas universities can hardly be ignored. Because most students are not ready to adaptable to a new culture and new experiences and are a little more challenging. Firstly, a student have to live without their family and start a new life there. International students must have the confidence to do everything by themselves and must learn to be independent. For example, this term we interviewed 18 students from Swinburne College most of the students said because of the language barriers it is so difficult to adapt. However, international students still face difference cultures, they will deal with new experiences when they starting studying abroad. For instance, students who want to come to study at Australia they must prepare or research everything first such as cost, weather, food, place as well. Finally, according to Pyvis and Chapman students living away from home are missing parents and friends is a good choice for students.
Additionally, according to the Hamilton Spectator (2001), "(c)oncerns about the language and the subject of study go with the stress of completing homework and waking up early for classes''. Sometimes it is difficult to adapt to learning a new language. For example, Australia is a country that speaks English so international students need to practice their English every day to improve it. Furthermore, according to the Hamilton Spectator it is difficulty for international students who not yet have is accommodation. For instance, Australia is a country where a lot of immigrants live and study is a typical example of how difficult it is to find housing, international students must compete with hundreds of people for a place to stay and self. Finally, making connections with different people is another advantage of studying abroad.
Not surprisingly, culture shock was difficult for student. According to Lovin et al. (2021), the level of culture shock experienced when a person transitions from one environment to another depends on the differences in culture between both of them. In addition, it depends on the students background, multiculturalism skills, and attitude towards the area. Experience, fortunately, might help them in understanding new situations. There are many. It has different phases of culture shock, and the length of each stage vary. Interestingly, students can get another type of culture shock when they return to their homes. Overcoming culture shock is an important phase in adapting to a new environment. Individuals' their minds are impacted by this culture shock.

The result we got from our survey shows that symptoms of culture shock of student who are homesick and all of the above are equal. Half of the students said they had experienced culture shock because of language. While 40% of students said that they had because of feeling isolated. We can see that there are many students who experience culture shock because they find the language so difficult.

We were able to learn about culture shock issues and how they are handled by international students as a result of our survey and investigation. After conducting this survey, we discovered many interesting results.

According to our research results, we recommend that international students learn about the culture before studying abroad in any way that they themselves find useful. For example, through the internet, from friends or family who are living in Australia, from Instagram and other social media. This can help them to avoid culture shock when first arriving in a new country, according to the results of our research. First, it is important when studying abroad, that international students learn about the culture of that country to avoid being surprised when they first move there. Learning about the culture will help international students approach, and quickly get used to, the new environment, new school, and new way of life. However, they should integrate but not 'dissolve' - international students should keep their own cultural characteristics and thereby promote their culture to international friends.

Additionally, the government and universities should have policies to support international students while living, working and studying abroad, and should also develop welfare policies to create favourable conditions for international students to find jobs and accommodation so they can make ends meet while abroad. Furthermore, universities also will have scholarship funds and an international student management board to help students with difficulties.

The pie chart shows that whether it is easy to adapt to a new culture. According to pie chart, we can see that 39% of students said it was not that hard or easy to adapt to the new culture, which was also the most popular choice. In addition, a third of students think it is easy to adapt to a new culture. On the other hand, and 28% of the students think it is difficult to adapt to a new culture. Therefore, we judge that Most students can still adapt to the new culture, but a small number of students find it difficult to adapt to the new culture.

The last question is about the advice of Swinburne University students for international students preparing to study abroad. First of all, it's that we have to learn a foreign language before we go because if we don't study, we will be worrying about passing our course. Moreover, we need to have enough money, decide on which personal belongings to take, and learn about the culture before studying abroad.
