Since the book ended without saying what happened after Paul told everyone the truth about his brother (page 302), I wonder what kind of punishment his brother got and will Paul's life be better now. Another question that I have about the book is that after Eric (Paul's brother) got punished will he be nicer to Paul or will he continue to act the same?

Something that I can infer about the book is that Paul's mom cares more about Paul than his dad does. I think this because in the book the dad is always talking about Eric and his football, but never seems to take any interest in Paul's life. Plus on page 27 Paul and his mom take a look at the school and there were many things about it that Paul's dad had "overlooked".

One passage from the book that was easy for me to visualize was when Paul was remembering about how his brother was driving by him and tried to hit him with a baseball bat. This is mostly because the author described what had happened with a lot of detail (page 3).

The main character Paul changes a lot throughout the course of the story. For example in the beginning of the book he is terrified of Eric, but as the story progresses he is no longer afraid of him anymore. Paul also becomes braver throughout the story which shows when he saved many of his classmates from a sink hole (page 82).

My favorite part of the book was when Paul told everyone what Eric had done (page 285).

In this book the author is writing from Paul's point of view. The book was well written and also very suspenseful which made me want to continue to read it. Plus the writing was very detailed making it easier for me interpret what was going on. One part in the book that was especially well written was when Paul was remembering how Eric had caused him to lose his eyesight. (pages 263 and 264)

There are many events that took place in the book that helped to develop the plot. Some of these events are when Paul and his family moved to Florida (page 7), when there was a sinkhole at his school which caused him to have to switch schools again (page 82), after that he joined the soccer team and became friends with many of the players (page 124), then he recalled events from the past (pages 263 and 264), and finally when he happened to be behind the bleachers at the same time that his brother was doing something that he shouldn't have done (pages 211 and 212).
