To begin, their food distribution program is very successful because as a fact last year, more than 2.3 million pounds of food moved through their warehouse and for the food assistance program they served about 400 people per day, 13,000 per month and about 160,000 people per year . The other programs such as childhood nutrition help with food support for mothers and just the young ones like children and includes services like after school drop ins. For a fact that this program is of good quality because most the reviews from it was very glad people such as one mother had said  “North York Harvest’s service is very important. In addition to feeding the communities, food recovery programs also help to reduce food waste and help educate parents and children on proper nutrition. The food bank as well creates a sense of community as a feeling that members have of belonging, a feeling that members matter to one another because they all work their together to achieve one big goal . The Food Bank also supports programs that improve food security, for example they educate the public about the problem of hunger and advocate for legislation that protects people from going hungry. I say this for a couple reasons. First of all the food bank has a total revenue of $1,883,806 and a total expenses of $1,829,053 (2017) ,so this already shows that the food bank does not spend more than they have and instead of a budget surplus of $54,753 which is pretty good. In addition to this, North York Harvest Food Bank 67% of expenses actually goes towards the charitable program which is a bit over half so it proves they care much about the impact of the charity and are committed toward their goal. Only about 8% of their expenses goes towards the management and administration, which shows its not about making profit for the staff. The final 25% goes to the fundraising programs and activities that they host. Overall as we see these results for the expenses the outcome is very good in which most money goes to the charitable program and the least towards the management and administration of the food bank. To start off, the food banks main goal is to provide dignified food assistance, education and long-term food solutions for everybody in need. Also all of the programs in the food bank are made in order to help achieve these goals in the fastest and best way possible. Volunteers as well have a crucial job in all aspects of the tasks that they are able to do to help and even their programs would work much slower because the volunteers help with the dedicated staff to run most programs or events. . The clients as well are always very positive as I've seen from the reviews. For example, one person said, "Suddenly, kindness becomes the motive for raising my ambitions. Here is the centre for volunteering and making an impact of changing lives-- without you knowing it."
