Fonts

Serif Fonts 
- Have small strokes called "serifs" attached to the main part of the letter.
- Common in print publications, like magazines and newspapers

Sans Serif Fonts
- More clean and modern than Serif fonts
- Easier to read on computers or tablets

Display Fonts
- Display fonts come in different forms
- Titles and Headers, or more graphic heavy designs are more commonly used with Display Fonts

When deciding which fonts to use, less fonts is better. Using only two fonts, or three if you really wanna push it, is usually best if you want whatever you're writing to be consistent.

Having consistency when it comes to your fonts is key, as having Sans Serif mixed with Serif isn't a major difference, as long as you aren't constantly changing between them in the middle of your sentences.

Looking at other designs for inspiration can be very useful if you're having trouble deciding what fonts to use.

Hierarchy is used to guide the reader's eye to whatever is most important, as it is able to show what is most important.
Use it to show the reader what they should focus on first, rather than later.

Leading is the space between the lines of text, also known as line spacing.
The goal is to make your text as comfortable as possible.
Too much or too little spacing can be uncomfortable for the reader.

Kerning is the space between specific letters. Unlike tracking, it varies over certain words.

Certain fonts have bad kerning, and can make the font look very odd to read.
