         <title>Proof of existing correlation between physical activity and academic success</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Kohl and Cook (2013), experienced researchers, focus on the effects of physical activity on students. The authors have evidence to believe that physical activity has a positive correlation with academic performance. These authors use evidence provided by various sources such as, <a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK201501/#">Basch (2010</a>) and&nbsp; <a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK201501/#">Strong et al. (2005</a>), and others, to provide evidence for proving that physical activity enhances components of the brain like cognitive thinking, attention, concentration, and memory which are related to academic performance. Additionally, the authors provide an explanation for the effects of physical activity on effective and efficient executive function, which has been linked to excelling especially in mathematics and reading classes. The authors claim a positive correlation between academic performance and physical activity. Furthermore, the authors recommend that schools implement physically active tasks to increase attention on task and time on task. </div><div><br><br></div><div><br><br></div><div>Kearl (2020), Mountain Heights Academy author, an organization focused on educating with high academic standards, focuses on giving statistical evidence about the effects of physical activity on grades. The academy believes that physically active children are more likely to get good grades. This author uses evidence provided by outside sources to provide evidence for showing students get better grades when they exercise. Additionally, the author provides an explanation for the effects of exercise on high academic performance. The academy claims that regular exercise enlarges the basal ganglia and hippocampus which improves concentration. Furthermore, the article recommends people exercise for at least an hour a day. </div><div><br><br></div><div><br><br>Lam (2021), award-winning writer focusing on mental health, focuses on the effects physical activity has on the brain. Lam believes that physical activity has a lot of positive effects on the brain that can be explained scientifically. Lam uses evidence provided by Charles Basch of the University of Columbia to provide evidence for showing physical activity can improve oxygen flow in the brain, neurotransmitter number increases which improves focus, and neurotrophins increase which improves memory and concentration. Additionally, the author provides an explanation for the effects of exercise on cognitive development. Lam claims there is a positive association between physical activity and cognitive development. Furthermore, the author recommends that schools make kids take breaks from learning and have them perform physical tasks to improve their brain function.&nbsp;</div><div><br><br></div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>

Cherry believes that random selection is an important aspect of research design because it ensures that the sample of participants is representative of the population being studied. The author uses evidence provided by previous research studies to provide evidence for the importance of random selection in reducing bias and allowing generalization. Additionally, the author provides an explanation for the effects of random selection on reducing bias and having more likely accurate information. Cherry claims that random selection is a necessary aspect of research design in order to minimize sampling bias. Furthermore, the author recommends using random sampling methods to select participants in research studies. </div><div><br><br></div><div><br><br>Pew Research Center (2021), a nonpartisan fact tank focused on informing the public about issues, attitudes and trends, focuses on how to conduct a good survey starting with making good questions. The center believes that the most important part of a survey is the questions, and not just writing them but order and wording can also have a big effect on the results. These authors use evidence provided by their own experience conducting surveys to provide evidence for giving the best advice on writing survey questions. Additionally, the authors provide an explanation for the effects of good questions on good survey results. The center claims that for the questions to be good they must have appropriate wording, order, development, and type. Furthermore, the authors recommend going over important steps like choosing whether it is an open or closed question, selecting the appropriate order, going over the wording to get your results and avoid bias, and more.</div><div><br><br></div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>

The authors believe that there are various factors&nbsp; like “attendance to lectures, early revision, prioritization of learning needs, deep learning, learning in small groups, mind mapping, learning in skills lab, learning with patients, learning from mistakes, time management, and family support” that contribute to academic achievement in medical students. These authors use evidence provided by interviews with medical students to provide evidence for the factors that contribute to their academic achievement. Additionally, the authors provide an explanation for the effects of these factors on high academic achievement. Furthermore, the authors recommend implementing these factors to see if they can be helpful. <br><br>Rachh (2023), an educational consultant and teacher, focuses on the factors that influence academic performance among students. The author believes that students’ academic performance is not only determined by their intelligence but also by several internal and external factors, including their motivation, study habits, and family background. Rachh uses evidence provided by various studies and research articles to provide evidence for the significant impact of these factors on academic performance. Additionally, the author provides an explanation for the effects of these factors on students' academic achievement. Rachh claims that parents, teachers, and students need to understand the different factors that can affect academic performance to ensure that students reach their full potential. Furthermore, the author recommends that educators and parents work together to create an environment that fosters student success like providing resources and setting expectations.<br><br>York et al. (2015), experienced professional in academic and student affairs, focuses on defining and measuring academic success. York believes that there is a need to have a consistent definition of academic success to be able to measure it. This author uses evidence provided by &nbsp; research studies to provide evidence for the importance of having clear measurement of academic success. Additionally, the authors provide an explanation for the effects of having a good measurement of academic success on the accuracy of future studies like the one I am conducting. York claims that there are six main components of measuring academic success: academic achievement, satisfaction, acquisition of skills and competencies, persistence, attainment of learning objectives, and career success. Furthermore, the authors&nbsp; recommend for future researchers to have a clear measurement of academic success in order for the data to be as accurate as possible.<br><br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br></div><div>Harvard Medical School (2022), a respected medical institution, focuses on studying different types of exercises and the effects they have on people. Harvard Medical School believes that there are different effects that physical activities have on people. This author uses evidence provided by research done by the university to describe different types of exercises and their functions. The exercises include aerobic, strength, stretching, and single knee rotation. For example, aerobic exercise helps to relax blood vessels, and decrease blood pressure which also causes a better mood. On the other hand, stretching helps you have a wider range of motion and decrease the risk of an injury. Harvard claims most physical problems occur because people are lacking one of certain types of exercises. Furthermore, Harvard recommends having a balance of the exercises that you do.&nbsp;<br><br>Strong et al. (2005), doctors in pediatrics, focuses on the effects of physical activity on health and behavior. Strong believes that there is a strong relation between overall physical health and disease prevention. Strong uses evidence provided by tests and experiments to provide evidence for showing that physical activity is not only advantageous but it also makes it less likely for a kid that is physically active to get involved in harmful activities such as watching TV, computer use, etc. Additionally, the author provides an explanation for the effects of physical activity on the prevention of obesity. Strong claims that physical activity is very beneficial in many aspects. Furthermore, the author&nbsp; recommends that children should be involved in at least one hour of physical activity daily.</div><div><br><br></div><div>Collegiate AC (2021), a company that provides student accommodations, focuses on the health benefits of cycling for students. The article asserts that cycling has numerous health benefits, including improving cardiovascular health, reducing stress and anxiety, and boosting mental health. The authors cite a study conducted by Stanford University, to provide evidence for the health benefits of cycling. Additionally, the authors explain that cycling can increase a student's productivity, energy levels, and overall sense of well-being. Furthermore, the article recommends that students make cycling a part of their daily routine and provides tips for safe cycling.&nbsp;<br><br>Kauts and Sharma (2009), practitioners in the field of yoga and oncology, focus on the use of yoga as a way to increase students' academic performance. The authors believe that yoga is very beneficial to relieve stress leading to higher academic performance. The article discusses the potential benefits of yoga for academic performance in students. The practice of yoga, which includes meditation, asanas, and pranayama, has been shown to improve various aspects of mental and physical health, including stress management, attention and concentration, and memory. Studies have demonstrated that practicing yoga can lead to a feeling of well-being, weight reduction, increased vital capacity, and improvement in cognitive functions. Additionally, yoga has been shown to improve academic performance in mathematics, science, and social studies, particularly when practiced in conjunction with stress reduction techniques. The article provides evidence and explanations for the effects of yoga on academic performance and recommends its practice for students.&nbsp;<br><br>Kurtz (2019), a researcher that provides resources and information about athletic performance and training, focuses on the benefits of implementing a high school weight training class in schools. The author of this article believes that high school weight training classes have a significant impact on student-athletes' physical fitness and sports performance. Kurtz uses evidence provided by research studies and interviews with coaches and athletic directors to provide evidence for the positive effects of high school weight training classes. Kurtz claims that high school weight training classes should be offered to all student-athletes to help them achieve their full potential. Furthermore, the author recommends that schools invest in hiring qualified strength and conditioning coaches to design and implement safe and effective training programs for student-athletes.&nbsp;<br><br>Maslen (2015), a physical education teacher and coach, focuses on the social and academic benefits of team sports for students.          <description><![CDATA[<div><br>Stein, D. (2011), Professor at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, focuses on the reasons and characteristics of people who donate time voluntarily. Stein uses a methodology that is very similar to the approach that I will take with my research. She uses quantitative cross-sectional survey research to gather her data. In her research, she is trying to determine whether there is a difference in people's willingness to donate time depending on their ethnicity, income, and gender so it is very similar to my project determining the difference of benefits to academic performance in between different types of exercises. She takes steps including sampling, data gathering with a survey, and data analysis which I will also use in my research paper.</div><div><br><br></div><div><br></div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>
